I was at the game at Walker Valley in where I over heard Boyd saying that WV was not half worth of their day. If this is true, how come they couldn't finish the Lady Mustangs off in 7 innings, and had to go an extra inning to get the job done? Seems to me WV is more than worth half their day.

Overheard.... from whom?

The score and the outcome stands on its own.

That is the beauty of Fastpitch. No one call or play can lose a game, because opportunities abound for a team to win...or lose. The opportunities that a 7 inning game gives each team is tremendous.

Sounds like it was a close game. How could anybody who saw it depute that BB did not dominate? How could anyone not say on that day that BB was at least the better team? Maybe next time WV will win.

Don't get caught up in the hype. The game is better than that, no matter who is playing it.

When your team is good, you don't have to say a word. :D

It certaintly does, and it did that day. Errors, or the lack of them, are part of the winning equation. Make less of them and you usually win, especially in HS ball where the talent is spread out over a greater number of teams. Errors are controllable, not some freak of nature. Athletic ability and practice reduces errors. They don't just come and go.

Last year, Soddy Daisy, the AAA state champ, won the state by pressuring defenses, not by overwhelming them. They had a couple of good hitters, definitely some good pitchiing, and outstanding defense. They overwhelmed nobody in their offense. Thye wre able to put hte ball in play and made fewer errors than anybody else in the state. If BB had made more errors than WV, they probably would have won.
