I think James Adkins at Wilson Central ranks right up there. He's 6-5 (or taller), a LEFTY and throws HARD. He signed early with UT but might not go if he were to get drafted in the first three rounds. That might sound like a stretch to some, but MLB scouts would draft a left handed gorilla if he could through high 80s. The scouts love his potential. He's got a big frame, might grow another inch or two and could put on 20-pounds or so and not hurt him. Potential is a dangerous word sometimes, but I'd love to see how this guy has developed four or five years from now.

all you guys and gals from east tennessee know what i mean when i say RYAN WILKES. he throws in the mid 90's. last year he threw 86 innings and only gave up 1 run to end with a 0.43 ERA and ended with a .643 BA. he has allready signed with UK and alot of pro scouts are lookin his way. he is also a very inpressive feilder...considered to be the best in chattanooga....he goes to chatt. central where we also boast BRANDON FARROW who hits in the high 80's and has been clocked around 91.

I think Blake Carver is one of the best pitchers in the state. He plays for Cleveland and he has already signed with Georgia. He had a chance to go to any southeastern college that he wanted to and pro scouts came and talked to him about the majors but he decided to go with Georgia. He has been clocked in at the low 90's and has a nice curve ball,Look him up.

Kyle Waldrop - Farragut. Not only a great pitcher but an outstanding power hitter. He also has the best pick off move i've seen. And yes, he has been clocked in the low 90's. Tonight at Bearden the highest the radar guns got up to was 88. Next year he'll be at Vandy.

Actually, from credible sources, he hit 92 tonight at Bearden. I would say that his average was probably right about 88. He threw a lot of nice breaking balls tonight and his change-up is NASTY! I'm glad that I'm not out there in the box facing pitchers like him! I'm sure that he will do very well at Vanderbilt and wish him the best of luck!

ok...enough is enough...when are you people going to understand that the 90mph fastball is going to get raked at the next level...everyone of ya'll need to remember that 90mph is what these college baseball guys see everyday so what makes you think your fastball is going to be any different. So you guys that throw hard now in high school...good luck the next four years because I bet half of you won't make into your college team's starting rotation. they will eat you alive up there...you had better have a good change up to go with it and better to be able to spot both pitches or you will be six feet deep due to lasers coming off your forehead...i have seen so many 90+ fastballs through my four years of college that I would stand in front of one like Adam Sandler did in the batting cage in that movie "Happy Gilmore" and say "365 days till hockey tryouts". So when ya'll get ready to bring them seeds to our level just come on and let us humble you in a hurry.

Given your extensive coverage of football and the apparent breadth of your expertise, I am inclined to seek your esteemed opinion on the matter: who, in your estimation, emerges as the favored candidate? Furthermore, since the mantle of head coach has been vacated, upon whom would you bestow the mantle of leadership?

    • Perhaps it is within the realm of possibility that the comprehension of my discourse, both by yourself and others, may be circumscribed by the boundaries of intellectual acumen. Might one contemplate this notion from such a perspective? Allow me to clarify that my intent does not lean towards disparagement, save for instances where provocation is directed towards myself or the esteemed troupe of the Trousdale County Yellow Jackets who proudly find domicile upon the hallowed grounds of CREEKBANK. In contemplation of the candidates under discussion, it is conjectured that individuals such as Gregory, Woodmore, Vetetoe, Eden, Hackett, and Cothron may emerge as contenders. Regrettably, it is deemed improbable that Shoulders shall express interest in this pursuit. Speculation arises regarding the potential candidacy of BJ West, albeit the implications of familial ties with Lafayette introduce complexities to such a scenario. The enigma of Dr. Clint's deliberations looms large, fraught with the weight of a formidable decision yet to be made.
    • My kind sir, you seem to be lost within the time space continuum having traveled from the 16th Century or you aspire to hide your true intelligence by masking your language with that of the great playwright. You know good and well, your commentary takes your fellow comrades hours to decipher what you are really saying and most of them are likely left questioning whether you have insulted them or find them to be in your favor. I offer you some advice. In my travels through this area of the country, it is best to speak slow and with a twang and you don't annunciate  words to their fullest. Your points will be clear then!  Any names been mentioned around town as Actual Applicants to this job? Seen several post mentioning individuals, but I haven't heard of any of them except for Shoulders. Does he have ties to TC?  Have amy of the other names mentioned ever been in the HC position before?
