coasterboarder
In what was billed as the worlds fastest prep 2 miler, BAs Andrew Bumbalough outkicked Shadrack Kiptoo (yes- hes Kenyan) with a 61 second last quarter to win the Arcadia Invitational in 8:49 (full 2 miles, so more like an 8:45-46 3200)- WOW! Guest kenwoodrun
Sick. Truly ridiculous. It's April 10, and this boy is off the charts good. Just sick. Coach Harper, Smith and everyone at BA...congrats. Bumbi...we're not worthy. Knowing TSSAA, they won't ratify the record because it wasn't exactly 3200m (it was longer). I wouldn't be surprised. Runthe800
Bumbi is a freakin beast! He ran an 8:49 beating a Kenyan who is older than him! He ran a 62 last lap! He is the fastest distance runner in the country as a junior! He ought to go for the national record of 8:36 next year! Let's all hope he doesn't plateau any time soon! I smell a triple....no wait......two triples! Congrats to you, Bumbi. Way to represent Tennessee! Go for the 1600 state record at your next big race! It's only 4:11.53. You can do that! runnerboy
I am confident that Bumbi will not TRIPLE after watching Strang race to a 9:18 all alone last night... He will push Bumbi in the 3200 and 1600 and Bumbi will not be able to hold off the field in the 800... Mark my word.... Haha, I could be crucifying myself right now.. O well... runnerboy
That would be me.. 3rd leg... I tied my 8th grade pr... Like justme said I have been injured for about 3 weeks right now and my times keep gettting worse... I'm going to pt for my knee and will end up taking a week or more off and prob. won't race again till sub-region.. Just an insight on how this injury has been affecting me; on March 25 I ran 2:01 and 4:40 basically all alone and I felt like I could've gone alot faster in both, on April 6th my knee started bothering me and I ran 2:04 at Mccallie, at Taco Bell I ran 4:47 for the full mile and the field there was stellar, then yesturday at Vol Classic I went 2:15 in the 4x800 and 4:51 in the 1600... I was in the best shape of my life and then it just hit me.... O, well there is still next year.. Uh, who are you justme??
