WHATS HAPPENING IN CARTER COUNTY

Who will have what this year. Will Unaka be improved, will Cloudland still be Mighty, will the Warriors show up the Clones again, Will be Clones have anything. Whats everyones feelings.

hv should be pretty good this year.they lack depth at a few positions and dont have a for sure tb right now,but should compete next year and be a potential 8-2 or 9-1 team.pittman should be the only blemish on their schedule,still too tough.

 

unaka is gettin better,cloudland will be a little down,and the clones may have a down year as well.hampton is a ?.

How's everyone in the Valley? I hope to get to see you all play at least once this year. Jordy hittin the weights? He should be a real monster on the field this year. Tell him sprints is where it's at, I happen to know that a local college that he might be interested in is requiring their OL to run the 110 in 20 sec. That is 8 of them with 75 sec between. He get's his stamina up there and I don't know if anyone in the area will compete. How about yourself? Everything going good?

I would say that Cloudland will be down after losing a load of talent, but, still should win the district.

If what I have heard is correct, there is no way Cloudland should allow Happy Valley a place on their schedule.

I look for North Greene to be improved along with Unaka, but, can either school get enough kids out to really challenge tradition rich Cloudland.

I don't think anyone has anything to worry about with North Greene, Unaka should be able to handle them well this year. Nearly did it last year. Cloudland should take it again, Unaka second, NG maybe third (depends on who the new coach is and what he brings), the rest a toss up.

 

Just my opinion, but it looks as if the cream of 1A is still in Carter County.

i dont know what uve heard.i dont think that even if hv or cloudland wanted this game they could schedule it.hv has 6 conference games plus johnson county, unicoi county,elizabethton,and north greene.i dont know if there is a team that we would drop to add cloudland since most of those are rivalries.

Warrior 58, I think a lot of you and I hope you are not offended, but the only reason Cloudland and HV are not playing is the embarrassing butt-kicking the Landers put on you all back in 2000. Then the Jv came up last year to test the waters and got brutally hammered. Ever since Jason witten's senior year, Cloudland has been the dominant force in Carter County. Though they won't be near as strong, Cloudland will dominate local teams once again. Football is weak around here. Cherokee beat Elizabethton in last years playoffs. The same team that Cloudland hammered by 50 pt. by the end of the 3rd quarter. Until somebody knocks them off the throne, Cloudland is still the King of Carter County. Warrior58, keep working hard on them weight and you will be a force on the field this fall. You will be better than Jordy. Just believe.

i was a senior this year king,so i dont think ill be on the field this fall.i dont know. the jv did get beat this year,but our jv won the previous year.i say hv is the best in the county this year with the rest in a big mess.all 5 are pretty close.probably hv,cloudland,etown,hampton,unaka.but who knows

All the county teams should play each year if there is room on the schedule. Good gates. With HV having 6 conf. games, that does make it tough to schedule.

Sorry Warrior58, I thought you were only a sophomore. Best of luck in whatever you do. As for who is the best in the county, no one really knows because that can only be decided on the field.
