I was talking to a buddy of mine who said that McGavock was going to be awesome in the couple of years. Anyone else heard this or know why they are so confident over there?

They have always had good athletes. Unfortunately, the coaching is usually not very good.

Then why don't they hire a good coach? It is possible to hire a good one in Metro; look what Aydelot has done at Hillsboro. Furthermore, it's not only possible to hire a good coach, it's also possible to hire a good STAFF. Again, Hillsoboro has a very committed and hard working group.

 

I don't know much about all Metro schools, but obviously Stratford did something right last year too. Pearl-Cohn has had a lot of success, and Glencliff had a year or two as well.

 

I think Metro has proven that, in terms of coaching, if you can get some good continuity in a school then you can succeed. They have the kids walking the halls, and maybe even on the teams already, but they need a staff to care, and more than just care, care enough to stay around to see something brought to completion.

Get rid of the entire staff. Bring in some coaches that care about the players, and they can start worrying about winning games after winning the players.

Man my cusin go to mcgavock and he say they got sum foolz been talking bout replacin da coach!!! Now why you wanna go replacing a coach already be knowing da kids. He say if a new coach come in he gonna quit cause he dont wanna get some dude who just tryin to make sum name for his self.
