I think this is the way our district stacks up. If it is wrong please post what needs to be corrected.

1. Forrest

2. Richland

3. Cornersville

4. Culleoka

5. Huntland

6. Cascade

7. Community

8. Moore Co

9. Eagleville

At the frist of the season we all felt that the basketball season would flow over to softball season. Only place it did was in the 2,3,4 place. THey have had some good games agianst teams then not so good games. The bottom five may give the top four a push in the tournament if they play ball like they should.

Good luck everyone

Cascade has beaten Huntland and Community twice but they have lost to Moore Co. twice. Community has been beaten by Cascade and Huntland both times. Moore Co. beat Cascade both times but lost to Community both times. Huntland and Moore Co. split. How does this figure in the rankings.

FIELDDAD, Yes you are right and congratulations are in order for the Forrest Lady Rockets. Culleoka's pitcher Bridget Thompson had 2 very tough assignments going 17 innings between 2 games and losing both 1-0. My hats off to her as a pitcher and also as an all around player as she represents and brings hardwork, dedication, sportsmanship and values to district 11-A softball.:D

I believe the 2-game match up was some of the best softball I have had the chance to see in district 11-A this year. Good luck to all teams in district 11-A come tournament time.

Sportsmd couldn't agree more with you about Bridget and the Culleoka team. Forrest has had some real battles this season and the Culleoka games had to be the most emotionally draining games for fans to watch. With five games decided by one run in district play, two against Culleoka, Forrest ladies have shown themselves to be a team that never gets down on each other or gives up. Friday nights game was also Senior Night at Forrest and the three young ladies, Leigh Beasley, Allison Walls, and Debbie Zimmerle have a lot to do with the success of the team this season. This should be a very interesting district tournament with a good chance Forrest and Culleoka will meet again......Two great teams that match up very well against each other then throw into the mix Richland and Cornersville... 11A fans are going to see some great softball!

GOOD LUCK to all the 11A teams.

Culleoka also had senior night this past week. Congratulations are in order for our seven seniors!!-Paige Provey, Anna Foster, Bridget Thompson, Jamie Anderson, April Frasier, Christine Meath and Chasity Bowen. These seven have shown great leadership and dedication and the underclassmen on the bench are learning a lot by watching these girls at play. Hopefully they will pick up and take off next season. :) It's been fun and most of these seniors have played recreation and/or travel ball together since elementary school. Good luck to all of you at graduation and into the future!! And thanks for the competitive games you have allowed the fans to see!

Current standings and # of district losses:

1. Forrest 0

2. Richland 2

3. Cornersville 4

4. Culleoka 5

5. Cascade 9

6. Unionville 11

6. Huntland 11

6. Moore Co 11

9. Eagleville 16

Games remaining:

Richland @ Forrest 5/3

Cornersville @ Unionville 5/3

Cornersville @ Culleoka 5/3

Tourney as best as I can figure:

-Forrest(1st), Richland(2nd), Cascade(5th), and Eagleville(9th) have locked up those spots.

-If two teams are tied in the final standings and split their season games I believe the team with a victory over the highest seed gets the spot.

-If Cornersville wins either game today they are 3rd and Culleoka is 4th. If Cornersville loses to both Unionville and Culleoka, Culleoka will be 3rd and Cornersville will be 4th.

-If Unionville beats Cornersville, Moore Co will be 8th, Unionville 7th, and Huntland 6th.

-If Cornersville beats Unionville, Moore Co will be 6th, Huntland 7th, and Unionville 8th.

Does all that look correct?

There is a clear seperation between the top 4 (Forrest, Richland, Cornersville, and Culleoka) and the rest of the teams. However, all of those teams in the top 4 had some very close games or losses to teams 5-8. Should make for an interesting tourney. If one of the top 4 is having an off day it won't take much for an upset.
