What happened to CA at state?

LC is a very talented team, and CA overlooked them coming in and fell on our heels during the game and had their worst game ever. but CA could have easily hung with them if they would have played well like in the past games they have played. as far as CCS goes, CA was there and you were not, cause why, well because you blew it and CA out played you. and as far as state, they'll be back trust me, because this CA team has so much more heart than any other team out there, that they are never gonna give up!

as far as heart goes, i think CA and fairview both showed a lot this season with some AWESOME matchups. i've heard from many people that those were the most exciting games they'd seen in a long time, just because it kept going back and forth the ENTIRE time. it was great playing you guys, i look forward to watching FHS and CA play again next year, we'll see how it goes with us having a group of approximately 10 seniors (instead of the 2 we had this year).

CA didn't outplay anyone. They scored a single goal on a flukey breakaway and spent the rest of the game chasing and packing everyone in the box. It's much easier to defend a 50 x 60 box as opposed to a 60 x 70 box which is what a real soccer field should be (half the field), and you still didn't do a good job of that. We didn't put the ball in, but you didn't keep us from that.

CA didnt play there best game that day. not taking anything away from LC though they were truly the better team, just not (5-0) that much better. i think LC played there best game agaist CA b/c they really didnt do much the rest of state. they barly got past Hume-fog who they prob should have beat just as bad as CA. and the champship game, CAK dominated the game and should have beat LC by at least 3. As for "blue sway" he is extremly cocky and didnt do crap in the final game. Congrats to CAK

I've been holding this in for a while, but CA has to be the biggest bunch of sore losers. You were beaten by a far superior LC team, and you have NO room to talk. 5-0 is taking someone to the shed. Maybe you aren't a player, but whoever it is associated with CA has no class and they need to stop making excuses. At least LC was in the finals. On a side note, CAK would have destroyed you. Sorry if you're offended, but the truth is the truth.

Face it CA...U got schooled. Stop crying about it. Its over. Done. Better luck next year. Congrats to the LC boys in finishing 2nd in state. Hey boys, no one gave u much hope at the begining of the season that u would make it to state and even make it to the final so be proud of urselves b/c u proved them wrong. Best luck to those going on to play college ball..! :):)

ok to ca just shut up no more excuses you barely made it by fairview twice. the last game you were given the game twice on to fluke calls one at the end of the reg. time and one in over time. the game shouldnt have gone into pk's your a decent team. im leaving it at that. fairview had a good shot at going farther in state but got ripped in the csas game. we out shot them i think they had maybe 5 shots minus the pk that got them a goal.myself had 3 shots but just didnt finish them and i know matt patt had a few. congrats to LC on 2nd in state and well to ca cant wait to play you guy next year.

    • Yeah I am on board and plan on coming down from the Ridge for some home games, great Friday night atmosphere there.  I'm really hoping SC can get them back going and have some success for those fans and community.
    • Yep I was field level on the scoreboard end throwing ball with Benny when we had that brief lead. Everybody got very excited but it was short lived as Murvil regrouped and went into machine mode. But yeah,  that hit sounded like the crack of a black powder rifle being fire.  I believe Dozier took one like that as a Soph up at Greeneville after on olay block.
    • Ole Benny boy lol. I forgot about Harder. He was tough as crap. He graduated in ‘09. I went to the OR/Maryville game that year (great game, btw) and he collided with Jacob West (I think was his name) and you could hear it clearly at the top of the visitor bleachers. Man, it was a stick. He could lay some wood son. All those guys were tough, Elliott included.
    • They do have good community support for sure and did when I coached under Z for 4 years. (I was on that staff that turned them around a little from winning 1 game a year to actually being competitive).  Great Kids and Great Community over there.  They have done some good things with the facilities from when i coached too.
    • I personally will not mind that one bit.  It seems like a really strange fit to me from the git go.
