great season to both teams...

ill miss my boys and im proud of all of you stepping up and getting done what needed to get done...Larsen pitched a heck of a game but waldrop did too.

Halls hit the ball hard but right at people and 2 of the 3 runs were unearned...every run scored against us but 1 against Farragut in the champ game were unearned-Halls blew out many thoughts that people had and Farragut did exactly what everyone thought lol. it was a pretty close game though and im proud of both teams

watch out for Halls next year-i say this being a senior-they arent losing much but some defense from some seniors and some bat from other seniors

halls only run was also unearned....

Congrats to Farragut on a great baseball season and well pretty much every other sport in Farragut made it to the state. I know basketball would have probably made it to state if it wasnt for the loss to Clinton in the Regional finals (no erogance in that statement) but Farragut really has a dynasty going here.

For 2004, Farragut's season record: 46-2. The 2 losses were by 1 run each. In both games, the potential game-tying run was thrown out at the plate. Post-season record: 11-0

I know you didn't ask this, but the 2003 club finished 48-1, and #2 in final Baseball America rankings.

That's 94 wins in the last 97 games, or .969 over the last 2 seasons. Not too bad.

as of right now farragut is ranked #2 again and could be #1 depending on how chatsworth california does. as dugoutdad put it" not too bad"

If it wasn't Waldrop on the mound, I'm not sure Farragut wins the game, honestly. Larsen pitched that well.

Those two teams should have some spirited matchups next year.

And I couldn't possibly do justice to the two plays Delmonico and Sherrard made in the fifth inning for Farragut. I don't fully subscribe to the pitching-and-defense-wins-championships cliche (you *DO* have to score more runs than you allow, one way or another), but those were two absolutely spectacular plays, and they helped keep Halls to one run.

I'd like to thank Coach Pharr and Coach Polston, both were very gracious and easy to work with.

I highly doubt that halls could win with Rob Catapano on the mound. he pitched in the region championship which halls lost to farragut 15-0. He's a great pitcher, i just can't see halls beating him. He beat munford allowing just one earned run and i believe that munford is a much better team than halls. So don't go around saying that you only lost because we pitched Kyle. I know Kyle is great and you blame the loss on that and the fact that you can't hit him. But last i checked, Halls couldn't hit rob either.

JMo, you apparently don't realize...I have no connection to Halls at all. I'm a completely neutral observer. I'm not blaming any losses on anything. My team got knocked out in their district tourney, for what it's worth.

Does Halls only get one run in the fourth and none in the seventh if Waldrop isn't pitching? Maybe so, but I think their chances to score would have been better against any other pitcher in the state. Catopano is an excellent pitcher, but with the game Larsen had, it took Waldrop being on his game for Farragut to win. And they did.

Too bad we can't have a Halls - Munford playoff.
