i defenitley agree that it takes a while for a rivalry to form, but CAK and Greenback have been competing with each other in other sports for a while too. This may not be Greenback's biggest rival, but its certainly CAK's biggest rival. There is much respect between the two programs but i would like to meet someone that doesnt think that Greenback will be extra fired up for this game.

Should be a big one. I watched the Pigeon Forge/Greenback game and to tell you the truth, I wasnt that impressed with the Cherokees. The offense was sloppy and the defense gave up to many big plays, but first games are usually your sloppiest. They will definately be fired up for this one. CAK better be ready because Greenaback is a stirred up hornet's nest. Even though I said I wasnt impressed with Friday's game, Greenback will be ready for this one.

Greenback by 7.

O, and Tackle75. To say there is hardly a bigger rivalry is quite ignorant. Yes, in years to come, if they keep playing each other it could turn into a big rivalry. But honestly, Bearden v Farragut, Fulton v Austin East, etc; GB v CAK doesnt come close.

    • If y’all lose to Farragut something awful has happened.
    • Get him to Bearden ASAP! Or anywhere, Karns hs is in rough shape, probably not getting out of it anytime soon.
    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
    • No sir. I watched it specifically and it was very dirty. He cleated the boy on purpose. Apparently, it’s an issue in football as well from what several schools have said. That said, looking forward to a good game 3. ER hit it well in game 2.
    • He is the transfer. 5star spoke on him in their new qb1 series. Didn’t list em as a transfer but I knew the name
