People are going to call this a good match-up... honestly, it's not going to be that close. Greenback plays in one of the top 2 or 3 regions in 1A where there are 5 teams capable of winning the region while Gordonsville has F.C.S. as about their only real competition so I'd say Greenback wins 27 to 12 over Gordonsville.

Gordonsville may play in a weak region, but they are competitive year in and year out. I think it will be pretty close, all comes down to the 4th quarter.

from what i've heard,d.ray is dreading the game.guess he is still sore from the injury to the hip.hate to say it,but greenback will win this one.

Greenback had a really good game last week. I think that if we come out and play all 4 quarters like we did last week, it should be a pretty good game. But their is the big if of Greenbacks secondary. If they don't shape it up, we're in trouble.

 

What kind of offense does Gordonsville traditionally run?

well traditionally, with the Oline weve had in the past..it is split backs, and alot of double tight, running between the tackles.....last year they went to the shotgun formation and this year I have no idea what they are running....havent seen them play yet...hopefully I will make it to this game.

Give the Greenback secondary some credit. They stepped up and made a team throw for 40% completions. They had two picks. They held one of the better 1A passing teams in the state to only two touchdowns. Harb is the real deal. He threw well under pressure and the Greenback secondary did not allow the big play. I think James, Long, and Way diserve some credit for only allowing Yoakley to have 30 something yards. Gordonsville is good. But I don't think their passing attack is as potent as the Warriors. I guess we will see on Friday.
