The Soddy/Ooltewah game is at Ooltewah on CSS and on the radio with Stump!

It doesn't matter if Ooltewah and Soddy lose this week - it's still the biggest game in the area of the year!

And about the McMinn game, if the Cherokees had brough 1/16th of the people they said they would, then there would have been a good crowd...I bet McMinn didn't bring 200 fans....Soddy sure will!

Ok that menas if we had 200 people on our side that you guys had 5,800 on the home side. That is a joke because your entire stadium will not hold 6K people. Take for instance Cherokee Stadium in Athens the seating capacity for both sides is 6,500 people and we both know that our stadium is much larger than the Nest. Now that does not take into account people standing on the fence @ McMinn we probably have 750-1000 standers on any given night I would assume Ooltewah has something similiar to that if not a little more.

I just did not like to be refered to as an idiot. I have a masters degree and own a business obviously I am not an idiot. Good luck this week with Heritage.....

GO TRIBE!!!!

I dont know how many people Ooltewah's stadium holds. It is not all that many. But it is standing room only for every home game, and much more so for big games.

I go to a small private school for the arts down here ... youve prolly never heard of it. I dont think this thread is anything like the mcminn/ooltewah thread. during that thread mcminns players and fans had nothing to distract them for an entire week because they were off. this game both teams have other matchups the week pryor to the game.

i think that this game will come down to turnovers as most good games do. turnovers mean offense isn't on the field and both soddy and ooltewah have powerhouse offenses. i also think that the team with the most points on the board at the end of the game will win. good luck to both teams!! stay focused on the game ahead, lets not make it a close one like last week!! also shipley ur gay(dbduce22)

First of all Soddy needs to beat McMinn. I also think that Soddy gets fired up for the Owls because with Red Bank being down the last past couple of years it has led to the rise of new big rivals. The Trojans and Owls should be a dandy. They are the only two Hamilton County schools that are left in 5A.......i guess it is the two biggest kids on the block... I hope neither team gets upset this week so we can see two undefeated teams... I also hope soddy wins so i can have bragging rights over all the former Owls that i played flag football with...(Erik Henderson....Justin Oaks.....Mark Blasengame...Adam Howard)....just to name a few! Good Luck Soddy

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
