This class is so loaded that 4 could be McDonalds All Americans. This is my breakdown of the class.

Brandon Wright- 6-9 PF Brentwood Academy Nashville

This young man has been a household name since his freshman year. The best shot blocker in the class with an excellent wing span. Will battle Thaddeus Young for top honor in class. Much anticipated match will take place in 2006 when they go head to head. Decent handles with improving outside shot. Level of competition may be a hindrance. Struggles in AAU match-ups with Memphis teams.

Thaddues Young-6-9 SF Mitchell, Memphis

I will attempt not to be bias but it is hard. On his way to becoming the best player Memphis has produced. Has a complete game. Memphis player of the year as a Soph. Can shoot, handle, pass, and is a big time athlete. Threw down some monster dunks last year where officials had to stop the game for crowd control. Could end up 7-ft tall with perimeter skills. Will go head to head with Brandon Wright in 2006 regular season match-up. Excellent student who is very serious about academics.

Pierre Niles 6-8 PF Ridgeway, Memphis

A man among boys. Without a doubt the strongest player in the class. Impossible to stop on the blocks. Outside game has come a long way. Has a better body than many on college rosters now. Unlimited potential.

Willie Kemp 6-2 PG Bolivar H.S. Bolivar

A coaches dream as a PG. Led team to state title as a soph. Excellent at controlling a game and gets everyone involved Can score when needed. Has become a high priority for major schools.

Wayne Chism 6-8 PF Bolivar H.S. Bolivar

Transfered to Bolivar from Jackson Southside. Will team with Kemp to give Bolivar one of the top teams in the state(all classifications). Is not afraid to mix it up down low and is an excellent rebounder.

Brandon Powell 6-4 SG Mitchell, Memphis

Breath taking athlete. Can shoot lights out. Long arms allows him to cause problems on defense. Had an excellent summer and was named MVP of the John Calipari Camp. He sets the tone for entire team. By the end of Sr year could be top guard in the south.

Andre Thornton 6-7PF/SF Mitchell, Memphis

Made the most improvement of any player this summer. Has added a deadly outside shot to his game. Excellent hands allows him to score at will. Excellent student who is ranked #1

in his class and is class president. Excellent post moves and uses his big body well to separate space.

Jay Watkins 6-7 SF Hamilton, Memphis

Is not receiving the attention as other in class but this kid can play. Nice all around game who will be a D-1 player.

I think they will be good if they can keep the starters in the game. We have NO depth down low at all, if they get in foul trouble down there, that will be bad. The guards will be very good. We will be pushing the ball up and down a lot, maybe looking like the old Kansas team when Roy Williams was there.
