Why the hate for Coach? I don't have a dog in the fight but Coaching is hard work and I respect the time they take away from their familys to give to Young Mens lives.

Well Snobhater...if you are neone you would have a life and stop posting comments about smyrna...this is smyrnas first year having a tourney at home so jus stop your talking about how your are going to the supposedly "REAL" tournament...c'mon i think u have sumthin better to do...if this tournement is sooo big then dont you think that you should be out practicing other than sitting on your butt in front of a computer...

Sounds like Snobhater was a "want to be". Or he just wants to get a rise out of the Coach and his team. Coacht can ban his trash talk. Then what would he do except go to Porn Sites on the net. :rolleyes:

Are you looking for more ways to justify how you feel about yourself or what, sir?

 

I understand there are 15 teams involved in this tournament with no Clevelands, McCallie's, Soddy's, Clarksville's, BC's, Collierville's, Farraguts, Science/Collins Hill's, or Baylor's, etc. One team from Alabama just notified our fine coach that they will need to stay closer to home that weekend, which leaves room for an Ooltewah, Cookeville, Cumberland Co. or a Bartlett team to come over for loads of very nice hardware and recognition they may not otherwise get at the Ryan or McCallie Tournaments "this year." We feel Smyrna would get some hardware at these tournaments, Snobhater, but of course there is more opportunity for the "feeling of accomplishment" with the middle of the road/better than average teams and the opportunity to make some $$$ as well.

Give em a break snobhater. Your sounding like your coacht name was meant for your true personality. They are competing that weekend, trying to improve thier program and those who will attend are trying to do the same. Dont downgrade there tournament for that. Some of those wrestlers may surprise you in Feb. regardless of the respect(or lack thereof) you have for their teams.

What's the real tournament? Father Ryan? With the exception of the finals, you are talking about a slightly above average tournament in a crowded, hot gym. Now McCallie is a tough tournament. Easily one of the toughest tournaments in the South. How about the Greenville Invitational - tough teams from TN (Baylor and Science Hill) and KY (Woodford Co.), FL (Cardinal Gibbons), AL, etc. Wrestling doesn't stop when you leave Nashville.

      Dyersburg is going to be good, really good. As mentioned, they have a lot of talent on the way and the trio of Chelby, Joya, and KayKay will only be better with a full season together under their belt. To me, playing in Murfreesboro two consecutive postseasons will only serve to make them more dangerous if/when they stand among the final eight teams this March. Experience, good or bad, always makes you better. And not only do they have experience, they know how to win there. Schedules are coming together for all of the teams and I am excited about what I am seeing on the preliminary drafts on Dyersburg’s schedule. I know I am being a tease, but it’s simply not my place to announce what another school is doing. With that said, I won’t go into specifics. However, I am excited about renewed home and away contracts for the non-district portion of the calendar. I think west Tennessee will have a lot of interest as well.

      Couldn’t agree more.. Tate is a special kinda player , but fortunately for us we get a best of 3 series. I think our pitching is better than last year when we made the trip to west tn. Should be a fun 2 or 3 games.
