Mike the Vike
Mike you said: "But you can take it from a guy that has a couple of our players ears, WE WILL NOT PLAY ANOTHER TEAM WITH ANYTHING LESS THAN OUR "A" GAME THE REST OF THIS SEASON." You mean they took MoreWest and Sully South lightly! TN HI is so good they know when getting up is nessessary and when the other team is not very good and it is not worth the effort to come out fired up? I don't know what this is about but if this is the case I like Elizabethton's chances! 825430641 If you check my posts you will see we did not take MO-West "LIGHTLY" But as has been previously stated, there has to be a little security in the fact that we beat South so badly earlier in the year. Champions know how to win when they are not playing well. Case in point - THS 31 - South
Mike the Vike
Maryville & Tennessee High play at such a high level, that when some team LOSES by less than TWO TDs to them the sharks start circling with a SLIGHT glimmer of hope in their eyes. All Yall cyclone fans keep talkin cause the Vikes smell blood. (7-6 @ the half without Eads ?) Man we better have some two a days this week huh ? Mike the Vike
Elizabethton stunk up Bluff City in the first half last night. In the second half they played a lot better and they were lucky East was not at full strength because in the first half a good team would have put Elizabethton away. As for this Friday TN High 34-10. TN High is just a whole lot better than Elizabethton and will whip them. If Maryville beats Knox Central then they will put a beating on TN High on November 26. 825430825 You may be right, but man what a game we ARE going to have. Winner WILL bring the gold ball back East !!

In Tennessee High’s case, you still call it unbeaten." THSVikings2004
Anyone that has seen both of these teams play, should already know what the outcome will be. Though Elizabethton will be prepared. I did see two older guys (probably assistant coaches) dressed in Cyclone material wearing black hats with a orange E on the front with an animated cyclone on the back of the hats. They were most likely taking notes on both of the teams' plays and performances. They were sitting on the South Side by the way and didn't appear to worry about the notes for a little while because they went somewhere almost the entire halftime before they went back to get them. GLee
It would be kind of foolish not to scout your next 'probable' opponent. Probable as in if you are fortunate enough to win to get there. I really don't think it matters a whole lot where the game is played at this point in the season. I see alot of people posting on here that are not Vikes or Cyclones and that's good to see. I'm sure the interest is high for this game. We, over here in Elizabethton, are proud to have such a young overall team do so well after a rough, learning start, and like you Vikings, we want to take the next step. I'm sure it will be a better game than the previous meeting, but how good...... don't know. I'll wait and check on things before I venture a guestamite on the score. Good luck to your Vikings and I was glad to see Nidiffer sign with Kentucky baseball last week. Good family and a good move for him. Let's see if we can keep both sides classy in our posts. Usually some kid stirs things up, but when dealing with two class programs it is only common sense to keep things on the up and up! thumb
gorideabike
The way that I understand the brackets are as follows... Had the number 1 seeds from Reg.1 and Reg.2 met in the 3rd round, the game would have been played at Reg.2's number 1 (Cherokee) site. If either or both of the number 1 seeds had lost, the 3rd round game would be played at the site of the higher remaining seed. Home field advantage for the playoffs is a big reason that we play the regular season! Vikings - 34 Cyclones -
TellTheTruth2004
All I know is that Elizabethton is vulnerable, but TN High has proven themselves to be just as vulnerable also. Don't know what will happen Friday night but I know it won't be like the last game they played.
TellTheTruth2004
Took a look at the TSSAA.org web site as far as where the game is played. It plainly says that if Elizabethton wins, the next game will be at the winner of the TN High/South field. Think everyone knows where that is That's the TRUTH from the TRUTH! DekeRivers
mike the Vik - you don't get points for TD's called back.. In the first game the betsy defense gave up one score and thats all. The other 4 scores came on 2-pass interceptions and two punt returns. If the Cyclones don't punt to number 9 and Jeffers has a good like like he did at Cherokee, then the Cyclones will pull the upset of the year. Betsy is playing for another home game, only way to get it is to beat Tennessee High. - Maryville takes 26 to Elizabethton instead of 81 to Bristol on Thanksgiving weekend.
