stockwell4
They have all the makings to be a great team especially with a class act like Bret Connor. That kid has always been good and has just gotten better.
Ro8432
Connor can shoot the lights out. Who did they lose from last year? I know they lost their short point guard and thier center #44. Did they lose anybody else?

SliderSport
i think catholic has a chance to be great this year. this year junior PG matt parton is gonna have a huge year. brett connor is a great leader and he could end up leading the KIL in scoring. tremane brown is a great shot blocker down low. also there some good newcomers: frosh G ryan walden and senior G winston cruze
KelenWinslowIsOnIt
Catholic has some really good players like said there... Cruze, Connor, Thames (who had a really good gme last night at alcoa), Parton, Brown... I heard Cruze had a very good debut with the irish as well last night. coolkid07
Catholic played pretty well last night and had a nice offense. But i think you have to give some credit to alcoa, they played really hard for 3 quarters and without their football players they played really hard with a lot of effort. Catholic did play well though and i compliment them on the game at alcoa
TnVols23
I have to agree that Catholic looks improved from last year, especially with their PG and overall guard play. However, Alcoa looked strong, w/ Ridenour and Stubby probably combining for about 90% of the points scored. Defense and Rebounding were shaky at times, and Ridenour might have to watch the travels down the road, but overall a very good game for a shorthanded Alcoa team. coolkid07
I agree alcoa had a lot of turnovers and there boxing out was suspect but for as short handed as they were, i thought they fought pretty hard. Catholic is a very experienced team and had very good guard play. Conner got hot and stayed hot. Alcoa will improve we will find out tongith against Webb. SliderSport
catholic looks good with two big wins over alcoa and farragut......... harrison smith had a good game off the bench last night for the irish
tonymontana
They look good. If Connors drops 24 every game, they're going to be in pretty good shape.
JimBobCooter1234
Catholic is a very solid team. Their major downfall could be their lack of depth. Connor, Brown, Parton, and now Thames have proven to be reliable on a nightly basis. After that they have Cruze and Smith, but then there's not much else. Catholic is very disciplined on the offensive and defensive end, and will find ways to keep players out of foul trouble and control the game. Ex: Farragut "stall" Connor will put up those big numbers on most nights, they do a good job of getting him open on screens, and he's hot almost every night. Good luck to the Irish.
