Oh my gosh, you have to be kidding here. Are you talking about FUlton High School Knoxville, TN? Remember one thing, Fulton only have about 10 people total in their band and I don' t think they would be consider for this award.

Now in my opinion, the best dancing bands I've seen are

Chattanooga Brainerd

Chattanooga Howard

They're football teams might not be good but their bands are like WHOA!!!

Now PartyMan, when you say Best Band, you need to have a category for a dancing band and one for a regular band..

While inner city Memphis football may lag behind the rest of the state, Memphis bands have to be considered the best.  Whitehaven is my personal favorite.  You have not seen a halftime show until you've seen Whitehaven's!  If anyone has seen the movie Drumline you have a vague idea what I'm talking about.

Whitehaven, by far, has to be the best "showband". They have all the ingredients that you are looking for in a showband. Size, sound, precision marching, Pizazz in their routines. Their band fills up the football field it's so big! This band travels every year to different "Battle of the Bands" competitions throughout the country, and they usually place in the top 3! They host their own "Battle of the Bands" competition every year during the 'Heritage Kickoff Classic' between JSU and TSU. They have bands from across the country to come and participate! I'm not exaggerating about the SIZE of the band ... their band is the size of a university's band. Many musicians throughout the city come to Whitehaven to be a part of the band program at Whitehaven. They are responsible for a lot of their band members getting scholarships to college. They are known for their bands! I think the band booster club is bigger then the football team's booster club. No lie.

Wow, is there a website where I can order a copy of that Band Competition that Whitehaven host?  I've seen Chattanooga Brainerds and Howards band but I would love to see another band similar or better then those two.

How's J. South Side Band?  Are they a dancing band or just a regular marching band?

AERoadrunners, I don't know of a website. I bet if you contacted the school you could get a copy through those channels. I think, in years past, a school from the east part of Tennessee has participated in the past. I'm not sure though.
