Ooltewah at McMinn

How will the McMinn County Cherokees come back at the Owls after their loss to the Owls in the Alltel Hoopfest Championship game?

McMinn is pretty tough, but i think Ooltewah should edge this one out.

These two teams played Saturday in the Championship at the Alltel Hoopfest Tournament and McMinn was winning the whole game until Ooltewah mad a come back in the 4th quarter and won by 8. They play again on Tuesday and then again the next week.

I think mcminn co. should win this game. They should have won the game down in Dalton if it wasn't for a 4th quarter collapse.

I heard that the refs were horrible in that tounrey they played in and thats how McMinn held on for so long and the black and white stripes finally let in a little and let them play in the 4th. Every Ooltewah starter had 4 fouls at the end of the game with a bench player with 3.

Yes, the refs were horrible. In the semifinals, McMinn had 3 guys foul out. And in the finals, Ooltewah got some bad calls, McMinn got a couple but not as much as Ooltewah, the refs were very inconsistent.

If the refs call it fare both ways tomorrow, i think it will be a close game all the way till the end.

McMinn is good but I look for Ooltewah to edge this one out. I hope the refs let both teams play a little. The refs have been pretty tight so far. Good luck owls.

I expected alot out of the Owls, on Sat. and they proved that in the fourth. Great outstanding play lead them to victory, Ooltewah has the ability to run away with this game. McMinn Co. I believe won't play as good as they have been, and fall to Ooltewah.

McMinn is better than Ooltewah, but for only 3 quarters. By the 4th they are too tired to play and therefore enabled the owls to make their run to win the game. If McMinn's bench can somewhat produce they will come out w/ the victory

owlsfan... pretty bold, stout prediction, but i'd agree and here's why.

 

obviously if ooltewah came back in the 4th quarter alone, and then WON BY 8. they were pretty powerful in both the comeback and on offense. but here's why i agree with owlsfan's 12 pt. win. ooltewah's coach baker (C Daddy) will reflect on the game and understand what worked in the 4th quarter that didn't in the other 3, so he will have an established game plan to propel the owls to the big win.

Nobody expected McMinn to win alot of games this year, but they are looking extremely well. I say the 1-2 combination of JT & BC will kill Ooltewah. I agree wif J Rock, the bench HAS to produce some. I don't know if Nick Arnwine is starting still, but I do know he can help coming off the bench if hes not starting.
