2005 Lincoln County Falcons

The Lincoln County Falcons lost in the first round of the playoffs, but what will the '05 team look like? Will Coach Thompson return? Let me know what you think?

Lincoln County is going to be ALOT better. I think they will win the region. Coach Thompson is set to return because the Falcons will have 30 juniors returning next season.

Lincoln County will rise up to dominance once again. I say it will be a tight race between them and Cookeville for first place.

 

I haven't heard any talk about Thompson throwing in the towel this year.

I really think Lincoln County will win region also. They have a lot of talent coming back next year. They lost a lot from last years team. Last year they were, honestly, probably the best team in state and should have won it all. Cookeville will most likely finish second in the region next year.

Lincoln Co has a great chance to win their region. I am glad no changes were made to the region. LC will have speed and Shelton should be ready to play qb. He is a good one, but so is Ellis. I agree with LC and Cookeville being the best in Region 3, with Franklin Co being a darkhorse.

I think Oakland can win both of these games. However, LC and FC has very good coaches. A lot of it depends on who plays qb at each school. Both teams have some very good players. LC will have more speed than FC.

With a yrs experience under our belt, we should be in a different league as well.

I think tradition plays a big roll in winning. With LC's tradition, and Louis Thompson's, they will once again be good.

I coached against my alma mater for the first time this year, and it was tough. LC has a tremendous junior class coming up and they could be dangerous enough to make a run for it by their senior year. I predict they will make an impact in the playoffs next year. Also, you can never ever underestimate the Falcons with the tremendous coaching staff that they have.
