  1. I think they will keep on dominating like they have. The offense isnt too much different but from what i understand and after watching the coach at hillsboro high school in person a couple of times, it will be less passing than what they already had which is not good. I said this on another topic, but i wish riverdale would convert to a wide open offense to utilize the team speed they always have, but they are my alma mater and i will support them no matter what. With that being said, i think that they will score fewer points this year than they have the last few years, but will probably go undefeated until the third or fourth round of the playoffs at least. McCallie the second game will be tough to beat though.
  2. I think riverdale will win 38 to 17. siegel has improved and rhs has a new coach with a new offense which is the boring wing t, so i do not think riverdale's offense will score quite as many points with less passing. i wish riverdale would get a wide open type of offense which would utilize the speed that they always have every year, but i am a rhs fan so i will support them anyway.
  3. Im sorry to hear about that! The family of Michael Denton and the rest of the Henry County football community will be in my prayers for sure!
  4. I really think Lincoln County will win region also. They have a lot of talent coming back next year. They lost a lot from last years team. Last year they were, honestly, probably the best team in state and should have won it all. Cookeville will most likely finish second in the region next year.
  5. To me, the 5a game looked like around ten thousand honestly. The 4a game was probably 7 or 8.
  6. Personally because of my beliefs, I would kneel to pray for the injured player. That is the best thing someone can do. But at the same time, it should be optional for each person whether they pray, but you should at least kneel to show respect for the player and the team. Praying is up to the individual, but kneeling should be urged at least.
  7. My top 10 1.Riverdale 2.Oak Ridge 3.Franklin 4.Dobyns-Bennett 5.Smyrna 6.Cookeville 7.Soddy-Daisy 8.Farragut 9.Ooltewah 10.Germantown
  8. Dave Thomas from Riverdale hasnt officially committed anywhere yet, including MTSU. The sources that I know have said that these schools are looking at him and have either offered or will offer: East Carolina, MTSU, Virginia Tech, Virginia, Memphis, Louisville, Miss. State and or Ole Miss, its one of the miss. schools, I dont think both as of yet.
  9. Congratulations to all the state champs this years. Bishop Byrne, Briarcrest, MUS, Alcoa, DCA, Maryville, Knoxville Fulton and of course Riverdale. You all played hard all year and got the ultimate prize! I didnt see the Division II games so I cant comment much on them. I did see all the D-I games though. DCA played its butt off in the second half and totally dominated Boyd. Chris Wooden had an amazing day with 282 yards rushing. Alcoa won what was, to me, the most exciting game of the year. I really like their offensive approach. Fulton was dominant in the second half as well over Greenbrier. Roger Herndon did it all for Greenbrier though. I didnt realize he punted, returned kick and played db as well as being a great running back. Maryville won with their defense and a blocked PAT. That has to frustrate Melrose. Maryville is a great team and played a great defensive game. That was my first look at Cade Thompson this year. And last but not least, Congrats to my alma mater Riverdale on their fouth state title. They dominated Franklin and got it done. Congrats to Franklin on having a good year though, you guys played hard and dont hang your heads, you accomplished more than any other Rebel team in history! Well, this was a great year and congratulations to all the state champs, and the runners-up! If you guys have any comments on the season and the champions, post them here. Again Congrats!!
  10. Anyone know where Chris might go to college?
  11. I was there also, it was amazing. Congrats Alcoa on a great victory in perhaps the best game in state history.
  12. Dude, have you ever heard of being humble and thankful for your teams victory. You need to get off of here if all you are going to do is taunt man! That is not something I would expect from a Donelson Christian Academy fan. DCA did an excellent job, dont ruin it by being so cocky.
  13. Congratulations go to DCA. Both teams played a good game. Boyd was up 24-7 at the half, but DCA proved they were the team to beat in the second half. DCA totally dominated the second half with their defense and the running of Chris Wooden. He had 35 carries for 282 yards. Wow! Matt Peardon had a really good game for Boyd, but DCA proved they were the state champs. Congrats DCA! Give the Glory to God for this one!
  14. If you love offense as I do, you loved this game. This was such an amazing game to see live. 51-42 over 1,000 yards of offense. Congrats to Alcoa on such a wonderful season, and the game tonight. Alcoa showed a lot of heart coming back from being down 41-26. Amazing game, again congratulations to Alcoa.
  15. I will be going to all five games. I cant wait either! All five games are going to be great. Especially the last one thumb .
  16. Riverdale-35 Franklin-7 Melrose-34 Maryville-33 (missed pat) Fulton-27 Greenbrier-20 Alcoa-44 Huntingdon-21 DCA-35 Boyd-Buchanon-31
  17. They are #15 in the National Prep Poll. They are #5 in the southeast part of that poll also. They have been in the top 15 in most polls all year except usa today.
  18. Personally I think the only team that could do well in Georgia is Riverdale. But neither Riverdale or Maryville would be top 10 teams in Florida, Texas, Ohio and California.
  19. Chad Pennington played on a wing-t team. Its not like he could show his whole potential in high school. He was still very good. Besides look how far he has come compared to Jermaine Copeland. He became a WR who is playing in the CFL now.
  20. Cade Thompson isnt the best in TN history. The best in state history: Chad Pennington- Knoxville Webb, Marshall, New York Jets JP Shelly- Ezell-Harding Ingle Martin- MBA
  21. Congratulations Dave, you are an amazing athlete and I wish you good luck this Saturday against the Rebels. Bring the championship back to Riverdale where it belongs. Good luck in college, play hard. Also congrats to Duran Ferguson and Jake Nunley, you guys were deserving as well, amazing seasons and athletes. Good luck to you guys as well.
  22. UT didnt sign him because he committed to North Carolina a long time ago.
  23. yeah Coker had almost 200 yards against them.
  24. Those are wonderful pictures! Great job!
