We were a 16 member female cheerleading team and doing quite well. We won 1st in cheer in large varisty,2nd in home pom, and 2nd in dance at UTK cheer camp this summer,6 our of 6 of our girls made all-stars and we dominated in a small competition in Richland,Tn. Taking first in every division.Also, at state competition we won first in large v. cheer/building. We are considering going to Gatlinburg in March and we weer invited to go to a chatt. competition for free cause of state in march also, but we are now co-ed. They don't have very much experience and we are losing pactice time cause of certain reasons. What are your suggestions?

It's kind of crazy how tonight a girl cheerleader said a cuss word and the ref threw the male cheerleader out of the game. But yet, the basketball players can talk crap all night long and so can people in the crowd...But one cheerleader lets something slip and the ref has a cow. Granted, it isn't right, but why is it okay for the basketball guys to say it and not get in trouble and a cheerleader gets thrown out for it!?

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
