As a former player for Waverly, I just wanted to throw a jab in on Henry County. I spoke with someone who was at the game that told me that the Henry County players, coach, and fans were acting they same way they always have. The coach wouldn't shake hands, the players were telling the Waverly players (as they were shaking hands after the game) that they cheated to win, and during the game one of the fans for Henry County threw a water bottle, or a cup of water, on to the court. And guess what?...the officials did nothing!

It was the same when I played...whether you were in Paris or Waverly, the officiating was still bad.

I agree with you accountant, and the coaches for henry county was following the refs to their locker room after game, hmmm. I agree, not very sportsmens like. I will have to say Curtis Reid pulled some good come backs, and leornard hit some 3's when we really needed them Ralston did not play 4th quarter i do not think.Hollis cut holes to get into the inside and took it to the backboard.. DJ Reid also was able to get in front of henry county to slide in a several layups. GO TIGERS

In the first half other than Leonard's shooting no one played well. Defense was poor as the Tigers give up 49 pts. in the first half. Second half was a whole different story as the Tigers outscore HC 28-8. Press was very effective and Ricco turned things up several notches. Leonard shot well the whole game and Curtis finds the range in the second half. Great hustle shown by DJ on the press. Ricco suffers from cramps in the third quarter and the Tigers miss several free throws in the closing minutes, otherwise this would have been a double digit win. Good win.

As you could see last night Waverly had the poise and confidence in the 2nd half in winning this game. If I was down 25 points I think it would have been tough to come out like we did in the 2nd half. As you can see Waverly is a tough team to beat and will fight to the end. Also shows the incredible coaching skills of Coach Rawlings. Ricco Ralston took over in the 3rd quarter with 11 of his 23 total points. His unselfishness also showed the 9 assists. Also great effort by the rest of the team. Creekwood friday. Might be a close one never can tell.

    • Defending 2A state Champs Westview Lady Chargers are pretty tough. They lost a bunch of production off last year's squad but returned some talent as well. They still McCall Simms, a Tennesseee Lady Vol softball commit as well as solid talent around the diamond. I dont think they are as good as last season but they will definitely be a tough out. Huntingdon Lady Mustangs seem to be pretty stout as well. Don't know much about Riverside other than Westview defeated them earlier in regions. West Tennessee softball is pretty solid all around id say.
    • Eagleville couldn’t catch up to Jones, he did have his location issues but in that game Eagleville popped up everything and the one hit they did have could have been ruled an error. Jeffcoat was a lot sharper in the beginning of the season last year than the end. ER ran out of pitching and still was in striking distance but none the less the better team one. Last seasons tournament was A LOT more balanced and talented. South Pitts starter is a Lefty who was low 80’s but couldn’t maintain his velo throughout the  outing, their #2 was more impressive last year, we knocked him around this year and his mph was down some. Their #3 isn’t bad neither, throws a lot of strikes and sits high 70’s.
    • He actually had a really solid spring.  I could see him getting some backup snaps on offense and be a regular on special teams.  Really athletic kid who can run.
    • Heard Seq has gotten a lot stronger this off season. Can’t wait to see how the boys do this year
