I wasn't going to say this but you forced me to . In both of these meetings of the two teams Smith played way better than Wright(not their teams just the individuals). I would take Smith over Wright  right now hands down!

To say that Wright is bigger and better is totally wrong Wright is neither of the two he is just taller that's all . thumb

All the wasted time and money. Roy Williams, Rick Patino, Unapproved Website and all the experts could have just gone to: www.2live.com and found out they were all barking up the wrong tree. I bet they are kicking themselves.

If it was called a foul, then it was a foul.  If it wasn't called a foul, then it was a block.  Drop the argument and move on because this game is OVER!!!!

I don't recall saying anything about Sycamore on this thread BIGTEN, but if you can find anything to prove me wrong then I'd be happy to say that you're right.

As far as your little "{deleted}" comment goes, I'll tell you right now that your an idiot. When are you folks ever going to come up with something more original than {deleted}. I do not care about Giles County because right now Sycamore has to worry about other things such as beating Cheatham, Waverly, and Harpeth in the district tourney. You Giles County fans should be concerning yourselves with beating Page in the 9AA district tourney, after all you can't ever overlook another team. I don't care how athletically talented you are or how many consecutive district games you've won.

We could keep going back and forth with each person telling which player he likes better, but, in the end, finesse transfers to the next level much easier than power, and Wright's team won two times. If you guys just keep on dissin Brandan, saying stuff like 2live, then there won't be any discussion, cause it's obvious that people like him don't really know Brandan's skill level, let alone his potential. If you are ignorant enough to say that Smith is bigger and better, but "he [Wright] is just taller", doesn't even deserve a discussion.

Aww...  lol...  Itzme didn't like my reply to his post so he deleted it...  don't worry..  I won't make you look ignorant by posting it again..

It was deleted due to violation of CoachT posting rules. You can read them and figure it out. Others have been edited for similar reasons. If the recent tone and language continues, someone will close the thread entirely, believe me.

I said ignorant ***... that's the only thing i said that could even be anywhere near considered "a violation" which it isn't... If I think you are being ignorant then I can post that... You can take the *** for w/e u want it to mean... could be ignorant jim or ignorant joe.... *** is just left to the imagination... close the thread, i don't care... But don't delete a perfectly fine post just because someone made you look ignorant...

The following are excerpts from today's Tennessean Newspaper (Williamson

A.M. section) recap of the game by Donovan Stewart.

Crowd size of 6,000

Brandan Wright - 18 points on 6 of 7 from the field and 6 of 6 from the line

(6 points first half and 12 points second half)

- 11 rebounds to complete the double double

Tyler Smith - 22 points on 8 of 18 from the field and 6 points from the line

( 16 points first half and 6 points second half)

Quotes from Stewart - "He (Wright) also blocked and altered several shots,

including two big blocks of Smith"

"...the BA defense was able to clamp down on Smith,

holding him to only six second-half points on

8-of-18 shooting.

Just thought I would add some insight from a non-biased third-party

journalist.

It couldn't be more biased, it's based off of a hometown station moron....

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
