8AA has some prettey good teams and players, but who is the MVP. Who is having the best season as an individual?

Kris Smith from MLK is definitely a contender along with teamate Johnny Lee. Smith easily is the most improved. I dought many thought he would have the kind of season he is having.

big royal ben you sound a little biased. As far as numbers you have to go with trey hobson the kid is single handily beating teams. Plus hes averaging 22 points and leading the midstate in 3's made

2) Trey Hobson, HFA -- Leader in most scoring stat categories (3's and Points)

3) Kris Smith, MLK -- An inside and outside threat (can throw it down or hit the 3)

4) Logan Greer, GHS -- The BIGGEST threat on the Bobcats squad (nice pun lol)

5) Jason Brock, DLHS -- Yet another BIG man leading his team in most stats

I think 8AA has a great chance to get 2 teams in the state tournament this year. 7AA is stronger than last year, but 8AA is still far superior.....it will all come down to what happens at sub-state.

Not to play down Brock by any means because he is an excellent player. But simply to correct your error, Mayes is leading the team in points and rebounds. Brock is leading the team in blocks and isn't that far from Mayes in points.

As far as statistics go, Trey Hobson is by far the MVP, but if you look at how successful the player's team is, I would have to go with Kris Smith or Johnny Lee. Their team has already wrapped up the regular season crown, and they have some pretty impressive numbers.

Johnny Lee MLK hands down.

 

He is the best player on the best team no question about it. If he were on a more offensive minded team I believe his stats would be similar to if not better than Hobson's.
