any details on how the game went ?

It was wet, cold and gloomy as the Owls got off the buss. There was a palpable melancholy among the team as they gazed at the perfectly manicured green sward the Tornados called home. The Big Blue who had not received a red card in years were already on the damp field awaiting fresh meat in the guise of humble Owls. The game started with a whistle much like other games have started for decades.

Anything more you want to know?

good deal with holding mccallie. Defense sounds like it's pretty tough. However from all ive heard of the Owls/sweetwater game is that sweetwater was the dirtier team, although the owls didnt help by talking trash right back. i can say from experience of having to go up to sweetwater and play, they were a dirty team then, although i know nothing of them now. however I did hear the owls actually pushed the game against sweetwater, actually outshooting them, but just not being able to find their stroke, firing wide, high, or strait at the keeper...

i figured this would be a 3,4-0 affair. good job owls, does the score reflect the game or was it more lopsided?

McCallie did have the majority of the possession. Ooltewah did a good job of packing it in the middle but the Tornado finally did push one in. The Owls did have some good offensive chances on the counter attack but didn't get enough good looks. Daniel T. is a dangerous player. I'm sure that Daniel F. was well missed by the Owls as they needed anothere offensive player or two. Interesting commentary bluesoccer.

the score maybe

Darn, I got caught up in the atmosphere. On a dry field, this could have become ugly - 3 or 4 to zip. The field evened the game up somewhat and kept the puckish Owls in the game. As they boarded the bus to go back to the nest, one of the Owls was heard to say, "I bet if it had been dry, we'd have lost 3 or 4 to nothing. Lucky us. I wish Justin Givens still played for us". Or something like that.

wow, you are aware that a) justin givens never scored against mccallie, and b)with no seniors on this team, not one player for Ooltewah has ever played with justin givens ... Why do you have to hate on Ooltewah, they played the hand they were dealt in this game, same as your Tornado. However, seeing as how "ifs and buts...". IF the field had been dry maybe the poor clearance that Patrick Johnson scored off of would have gotten further, so he wouldnt have scored. And also IF the field were dry, maybe the Owls counter attack would have worked once. I do NOT actually believe this, just pointing out how rediculous, rude and pointless your speculation was

    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
