goosevol
Since losing to Harriman, Rockwood has scored 70 runs in four games. You think that could have been a wake-up call like last year?
643
I hope so Goose but I don't know if the tigers have enough experience to take Harriman on this year . I hope to see Harriman & Rockwood walking in Memphis this year. I think CAK will win the other district . Who do you think will come in second? I figure either Miday or Cosby. themagicrooster
we are finally starting to come together as a team now. 70 runs in 4 games is good, i dont care who you are. we are starting to play better defense and we are hitting. if we hit like we have been doing the last few days, we will win alot of ball games. cak will win the other district, but how is greenback doing this year. for the last 3 years it has always been greenback and cak. 643
Greenback had I believe 8 Senior starters last year . They are really young and struggling this year.
643
Could someone please update the Rockwood schedule. Cookeville on the 19th is a DH. We have a DH with Oakdale on the 21st. May 3rd is a DH too and no JV with Crossville. May 5th is Harriman.
goosevol
Think back to when Rockwood Seth Robinson, ET McCreary, Robert Gilmore, Brian Reed, Critter and that group were freshmen. I never thought they would make it to the state and they did. They beat Alcoa in the region that year and I Alcoa had a really good team. Making the state takes talent, hard work and usually a little luck somewhere along the way. Rockwood has the first two and hopefully a bounce will go there way. Three years ago, Gilmore threw a no-hitter and the Tigers lost in the sub state so that was a year in which luck wasn't with them. But I think they're coming together and I would love to see Rockwood and Harriman in Memphis. Hopefully, however, not playing at the same time. As far as District 3A, CAK is the favorite but Cosby played them close the other day and Midway can hit with just about anybody. If the District 3A Tournament sees an upset and CAK runs out of pitching the Midway could slug their way to the title. I still see CAK as the team to beat, but those SOR guys could pull a surprise. 643
Rockwood played good but not great last night and lost 2 games to Cookeville. You can't play good and expect to beat a team like Cookeville . Plenty of district games left. Play hard and keep working the play-offs will be here before you know it. thekid03
It only took 5 innings for Rockwood to pick up another win today.. The Tigers played well today with Shane Doughty and Bryant Allen both hitting homeruns.. Corey Payne pitched a complete game and picked up the win...GO TIGERS!!!!
