Harpeth Hall vs. DCA

I attended the game.

 

Score was a little more lopsided than it was because of all the free throws at the end.

 

DCA actually led for a good portion of the game, including at halftime, but #23 for Harpeth Hall was too much in the end. DCA opened up a 12-4 lead early but HH chipped away and passed them in the 2nd half. DCA just had some open shots rattle out in the fourth quarter and HH did a good job drawing fouls when DCA pressed. HH dominated the FT shooting, which was the difference.

 

 

DCA should still do just fine in the playoffs as HH is by far the best team they have played and they won't play a team as good as HH in the Single A playoffs.

There is no claim by DCA to be undefeated.  DCA fans do not get on here and tell

anyone they are going to win the state.  In fact, you see very few post regarding DCA.  Most of the talk is by the rural teams (for whatever reasons).  For you to

get on here and bash them is ridiculous and immature on your part.

 

The record speaks for itself. In fact, they were probably a better team last year.

They have a young coach who is getting better and 6 guards.  Coaching probably

cost them a state appearance last year but that same coach may be the reason they go this year.  I think they learned alot from last year and do not look ahead

to any opponent.  One game at a time.

 

As far as being overrated in your mind (who cares what you think)...

 

  Westview apparently struggles against all the decent Class A teams in West Tennessee. Congratulation on being the top ranked Class A team in West Tennessee.  Westview lost to Upperman and beat Smith county.  DCA beat them both & the margin of victory was similar against Smith County. Looks like Westview and DCA would be a good game.  Oh wait, you guys are AA.  Looks like Westview may be overrated.

Why did the coach cost them a state tournament appearance?

That is what people in the stands always say when they don't win a big game. he was the same coach last year in the sub-state that he is this year at 26-2. Fair-weather birds chirping away .

Don't hate on the "rich kids" they play aau and work very hard on their games. The only difference is, instead of thinking about their next game last night, they had to think about AP Physics.
