How did the Lipscomb/Springfield game come out yesterday?

What are some official comments on the pitcher (Bowden) from Hume Fogg. There 3 different scouts at Portland last night to watch him (Vandy, DLU, Purdue). According to their coach he has already been offered by Purdue and Tenn Tech. He is pretty good but, has absolutely no help behind him. I think he is 0-3 in the district with an ERA under 2 and approximately 40 K's in those 3 games.

 

Portland won 2-1 on 3 hits and had 10K's

 

Any serious comments.

DL won 10-4 against Springfield on Monday. Jamie Pack and Jason Brock pitched a quality game. Lipscomb lost however to Marshall County yesterday. Taylor Merry threw a good game.

David Lipscomb beat Station Camp in a very exciting game 3-2. Probably the best game of the year in 8AA. Portland beat Station Camp tonite in another close game 4-2. A well pitched game by Jeff Ferebee allowing only 1 earned, also a good job by Portlands pitcher #35 (not sure of his name). Station Camp couldnt hit anything tonight putting up only 6 hits (one was a bunt).

Macon County is 9-2 in the district after a 14-4 victory over Springfield tonight! Have Station Camp, Lipscomb, and Greenbrier left.

I know these district records for sure:

 

1. David Lipscomb ???-0

2. Macon County 9-3

3. Portland 3-3

4. Station Camp 2-5

 

I believe Hume Fogg is also 2-5 (??)

 

No idea about Greenbrier, Springfield, or MLK

This is going to turn out ot be a great battle this year for 2nd in the District. DL is tough, but someone will find a way soon enough. Good luck to everyone!

 

Portland is in a 8 team tourney this weekend in Franklin, KY (next District game is Tues. vs. MLK)

Greenbrier defeated DL today in 7 innings by a score of 6-4. The Bobcats are now 2-2 in the district with Station Camp tomorrow.
