Then standings do matter, because they determine who you play and for many districts where you play. In this particular district it doesn't matter as much since there are 8 teams, but in others where there are an uneven number the best team or two gets out of an extra game, which means another day to train (since the highest seeds usually play a team that they would blow out).

Whitey (and all others) - please do not take this wrongly, I am truly searching for information .

Is the points system you refer to unique to this district or is it applicable statewide to all districts and where is it documented?

and this is just a comment - Seems like Blackman is the clear leader in this district, but that isn't reflected in theses point standings, possibly because not all matches have been played and so forth?

points are easier to post than records. 3 pts for win 1 pt for tie. of course blackman is the clear front runner if they haven't been beaten. they also havent played all their games when that was posted.

Blackman Murfreesboro, TN 11-1-1 5-0-1

0424 Riverdale Murfreesboro, TN 10-2-0 5-1-0

0535 Warren Co McMinnville, TN 6-6-2 4-1-2

0091 Cookeville Cookeville, TN 5-8-1 4-2-0

0287 Lebanon Lebanon, TN 7-6-0 3-3-0

4429 Siegel High School Murfreesboro, TN 5-8-2 2-4-1

0380 Murf. Oakland Murfreesboro, TN 2-12-1 1-6-0

0555 White Co Sparta, TN 1-9-1 0-7-0

These are the standings as of Today. Lebanon and Riverdale must still play and Blackman and Cookeville must play. Bottom 4 seeds are set even with a win over Riverdale Lebanon will be no better than the 5 seed (boy are they scary) due to their loss to Cookeville in the Regular season-
