You need your Hilltopper ID revoked! You claim to be a hilltopper fan but stick up for DB? You got no dog in this race. As a fellow graduate of the Hill, I am shocked to think you would even come to this thread and dog out a AA school. You, and other fans like you, are the reason that many around your neck of the woods hates the Hilltoppers. Science Hill is always at the top of the chain in bball. You don't need to get on here and run your mouth about it. This whole thing was started because a DB fan got on VOLUNTEER'S thread and ran his mouth. It turned out that DB lost and Volunteer won, so now he is getting his. Nobody ever said anything about Science Hill, but you stuck you BIGBIRD nose in where it doesn't belong. If you continue to post on here, please change your ID so nobody will know you are really from Science Hill. You and Shwaxin make Science Hill alumnis ashamed.

Now I have made this name tonight becasue I usually just sit back and read what is going on but I have a few comments to make. Number one is that Volunteer was very smart tonight slowing the game up. It shook Central because Central is a run and gun team. Next I think all of the top 4 teams in our confrence could Beat Dobyns Bennett this year because their season was a waste and I do believe that some of these Volunteer folks from Hawkins County  have a point that Dobyns Bennett losing to south is a joke.  I have one question (you Dobyns-Bennett people like to ask these volunteer people questions) When was the last time that Dobyns-Bennett did not go to the round of the region? That is my question for you. To Volunteer fans your team played there butt off tonight and my personal perdiction is that you will beat a slipping Happy Valley team by 5 or so and good luck friday and in the Region. Central fan that had alot to say for the first time since he has been reading this god forsaken website. Most of this Thread has been fun though but I just started to think that the shots were getting bad.

I asked last night three times and I will ask you again..... "who said that Volunteer was better than DB?"

825582794[/snapback]

nobody said it straight out

BUT,

you all made this thread after DB lost to South, so obviously, you were just sitting around waiting for DB to screw up bad to say something....then you starting talking like you were better than them, saying that you beat south and south beat db....here is what i got from what you said

Volunteer beat South, South beats DB, Volunteer is a better team than DB.

thats just what i understood from you volunteer faithful on this thread...

someone back me on this i know im not the only one.

Please don't assume what was being said. The only thing the Falcon fans were doing was trying to pay back Art Vandeley for COMING INTO a Volunteer Falcon thread and talking smack to us. If he would have trashed Volunteer on any other thread, I don't think anyone would have replied. But it became personal to some when he came into our thread. No disrespect to Science Hill or DB, or any team for that matter. The thread was made for Art and only Art, but it got outta hand like most threads do when they become personal. We fully understand going back into the Big Nine will be a tough task, but we also know that we have only one senior, one junior and 11 sophs and freshman playing this year. We had 6 seniors and now down to one. That says a lot about our coaching staff and players we have now. BEst of luck to ALL District 1 teams still alive. I like what Skunk said earlier in this thread........

Folks..........so, lets celebrate this year and hope someone from this area can repeat what D-B has done the past two years, make it to the state.

Maybe we should all stop trashing each other and focus on the rest of this season, what little time we have left. I know that left the door for WACO to say something smart, but hopefully he will just let this dull ax go and move on now. Again..... good luck to ALL District 1 teams left. Represent the area well next week and hopefully the Sub-State. GOD BLESS!!!!!!!! thumb

Stokomo, Here I am to say something smart. Well someone has to do it.

As you can see from the above post, and this is post #1 of this thread, by someone named superfalconfan05. It is directed at someone named Mr. Wooten (I assure you that Art is not Mr. Wooten). If you notice right there in simple plain english he makes fun of DB for losing to South, and claims Volunteer is better than DB because of that loss. Simply because Volunteer had beat South eariler.

Now, you explain to me again how this is getting back at Art and not trashing DB.

Plain and simple.....Everyone in the area (including Volunteer fans) hates DB and Science Hill because year in and year out they rule the sports world in upper east tn. And don't give me that same ole' tired argument about DB & SH being bigger schools. Build you a bigger school and go out and get you some more students.

Who's Mr. Wooten

Oh, and to cougarman159. Anybody with half a brain would know your a Volunteer fan, posing as a Central fan. You've been reading CoachT for how long? And all of the sudden you decited to make your very first post on behalf of Volunteer. What! Not one single post in support of the Central Cougars? Who are you, chparent or superfalcon ? How funny :lol: Besides, I know alot of Central fans, They would not be that stupid.

Who's Mr. Wooten ?

We beat South  twice this season and the last South game  two weeks ago by about 15 and he next night on Friday South drills D-B.  The argument started when your boyfriend Mr. Wooten trashed superfalcons picks.  Cant you take it like a man? Or is Wooten the man in your relationship?

no for real, why are you calling him mr. wooten??

shtopper05,

He thinks he knows who Art V. is...but I promise you and him, Art's name is not Wooten.

While I am here let me play PTI's Stat Boy and point out some other errors on this thread...

OldDoc08, that is not what I said...

Brentwood Bruins are a AAA school...

Brentwood Academy is a Division II school...

Volunteer is a AA school and will be playing up next year...

Volunteer didn't beat D-B last year, didn't play...

D-B and Volunteer did play this summer at camp and D-B won (but, that was camp and doesn't count)...

Art is married and not to WaCo...nor are they dating (so personal attacks along those lines are out of line and inappropriate)...

Good luck to everyone in tournament play.

Very well said Skunk. I wonder if anyone realizes that in about SEVEN days that only two teams from each region of A, AA, AAA will be left standing? If anyone feels better by making personal attacks at others' expense, be it an individual or about a team, then COACHT.COM has specialists standing by to help you get your ID and EGO in check. GOD BLESS!!!!!

Some need to see the below before going to see COACHT.COM's Specialist.

Top Ten Life Lessons:

10: I've learned that if someone says something unkind about me, I must live so that no one will believe it.

9: I've learned that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one.

8: I've learned that the greater a person's sense of guilt, the greater his need to cast blame on others.

7: I've learned that you shouldn't go through life with a catchers mitt on both hands; you need to be able to throw something back.

6: I've learned that wherever I go, the world's worst drivers have followed me there.

5: I've learned that whenever I decide something with kindness, I usually make the right decision.

4: I've learned that if you want to do something positive for your children, try to improve your marriage.

3: I've learned that you can tell a lot about a man by the way he handles these three things: a rainy day, teenage children, and tangled Christmas tree lights. thumb

2: I've learned that if you pursue happiness, it will elude you. But if you focus on your family, the needs of others, your work, meeting new people, and doing the very best you can, happiness will find you.

1: (and the most important to learn).......................... I've learned that I still have a lot to learn. :D

    • A complete cultural change happened at Greeneville and the administration and community opened up their checkbooks.  What a lot of people don't know is Ballard was Zeller's OC for many years and stopped coaching for two years because Zeller and Ballard didn't see eye to eye on some things.  Zeller lead Greeneville to it's first ever Semi Final appearance in 2000 and lost 28-12 at Maryville and had them in the Quarter Finals in 2002 and 2003.  Z was a great coach but lost some control when it came to making workouts mandatory. (He learned from that Mistake and it was at LC when i coached with him.).  Z was let go going into my Senior Year and was replaced by Steve McCurry who was the one that turned the program around.  Steve had won a 4a state championship at AC Reynolds in Asheville and made the administration completely redo the weight room with new equipment, had a football period at the end of the school day to lift, started devil camp, and brought in coaches like Danny Bentley (Still the OL coach), Ballard as the OC, Cody Baugh (QB coach and still there), and even Spradlen who is Greeneville's head coach now as the DB's Coach.  McCurry only coached for two seasons at Greeneville and took a team that had a losing record the year before and finished my Senior Year making it to the Quarters and having a 10-3 record and then followed it up with a Semi Final appearance the next year with an 11-3 record and back to back conference championships.  Loved McCurry to death but the recession hit and the story i heard was he was still buying new equipment for the team that the Principal didn't authorize and his response was "I don't answer to you and only to Niswonger and Bewley" (Two huge donors).  That was it for him and they Promoted Ballard shortly after that.   Greeneville had always been relevant ever since the the late 70's under Coach Fred Sorrell's.  Since Sorrell's took over in 1977 Greeneville overall winning percentage is over 76%.  The biggest reason people might not have thought Greeneville was "Good" until Ballard was Greeneville always played up Classification wise and could never get over the hump. (When there were 3 classifications we played 3a, when it went to 5 we played 4a).  Greeneville is the largest its ever been with 953 students and where playing teams 2 or 3 times there size back in the day (I had a little over 800 kids in the school when i graduated in 2008).  Other teams always would know they would be sore after a game but depth took over and never won a Championship until Greeneville played in the classification the TSSAA actually assigned them. You had names like Dustin Moore (1993 Mr Football for 3a and who Phillip Fulmer said was one of the greatest athletes he ever recruited), James "Mud Turtle" Mayes, Brigham Lyons, Byron Gillespie, Frankie Debusk (National Champion Qb at Furman with GQ), Jasmine Lowery, Cody Baugh, The Greenway Brothers, Joe Watson (Furman), etc.  Now the cultural is from the Pee Wee league up and you grow up as a young kid wanting to wear the Greene and White.  Here is a really good link when it comes to anything Greeneville Football related. https://greenevillefootball.com/   I also don't coach anymore.  Z told me i was to smart with how the school systems are ran these days and ended up going into real estate in Knoxville which has been a great decision for my life.
    • Yes, they will. I'm wondering what kinds of strides Sale Creek will make heading into the second season under Coach Fitz.
    • No yellow stripes on the rug last night. Biggest crowd I’ve seen at 825 since the alco debacle.
    • I know most Pirate starters were seniors last year. Im not sure how accurate it is but someone said we only have 3 seniors. That Prep team will probably make some noise this coming season too.
