UC vs Austin East

The loss to Sullivan East was at the very beginning of the season and as far as a weak schedule goes, we've blown pretty much every opponent out except Valley and Central. I'm not gonna say we've got this one in the bag, we're travelling to a very tough opponent but this is the farthest our team has went in a long time, momentum is on our side to get the job done! GO DEVILS!

Unicoi is a good team but not very athletic. As far as blowing out the weaker teams, University High was a supposed weaker team and they were not "blown out". Also remember that the district and regional tournaments were played at home. This is the first game in the post-season they have to get on a bus. It would be a big shock to see Unicoi win. If they don't they should still be proud of a fine season.

The schedule on CoachT isn't right. Unicoi played in a Christmas tournament in NC and won 2 out of 3 against some great competition (Mt. Zion b team, etc). The Sullivan East game was the hall of fame game which the TSSAA says doesn't count. Unicoi treated that one like an exhibition and played their bench quite a bit. CoachT is a great site, but the Unicoi schedule is wrong. It instead has a couple of Unicoi-North Greene scores from games that never happened. They are 28-5 per the TSSAA. CoachT has the record right, but the three aforementioned incorrect entries are exchanged for the 3 tournament games in the official books.

Well first i want to think the central fans (besides cougar scout) for givin us support after all we are in the same conference. anyways i think unicoi has a good chance if they just play ball and not worry about the atmosphere they will be in. rebounding will be the key. but good luck central monday. maybe we will see u all in murfreesboro. GO DEVILS!

Both Teams have Great Coaches . East has Athleticism, Unicoi has great fundamentals. I don't know about East but, I do know that Unicoi has Great CHEMISTRY and thats why I give them the edge even on the road. I also thought that Unicoi hosted a fine District and Region tournaments. We were treated with nothing but class(except for that lady in the hospitality room-just kidding) That A.D. Cooper really had everything worked out. Blue Devils, English, Smitty and all the fellas, The Falcons wish you the best of luck. Keep it rolling together, you have that advantage!!

HECK YES WE CAN!! and we can play one heck of a game of basketball, which is why im saying that Unicoi will beat Austin East on Monday. I can't wait to see the moves that Ike will pull out for this game, i know for a fact.. that he's holding back some stuff, and i'm hoping he will let them all rip at this game. Hunter and Ryan too, these boys are great! Our team has so much chemistry with each other, that everything works out. We know who to pass it to and when to pass it. and we know how to help each other out, and i think this will be a major bonus for us on Monday. LET'S GO UC! AND LET'S SHOW THEM WHAT WE'RE MADE OF! DEVIL PRIDE!

I don't care how tall or how good UC can shoot, the question is can they get it across half court with AEs press and quickness?

If UC can beat the press, they will be in the ball game and have a good chance at taking it. UC hasn't seen to many good presses that I know of. (Not sure about the NC Tourney with Mt. Zion, didn't hear much about it). Like others said, they need to play the type of game they are capable and used to playing and then they will have a good chance. Good luck to Unicoi and Central.

That's my little cousin you're talking about and you're speaking the truth when you say watch out for him. I just hope his shot is on!!!

 

 

About the game: AE hasn't been to the state in about 2 or 3 years, I think it's time for the monkey to get off their back. They're focus and ready to get back to where they used to go year in and year out. UC, the only thing I can tell is, IT's ON!!!

 

 

Let's GO AE, let's make it two teams(Boys and Girls) in the STATE!
