I'm not depressed and I'm not angry. Depression implies that I can't eat, sleep, or won't leave my bed yet I'm at school, having a good time, and obviously on a computer. I can't get depressed I'm too hyper.

Since many of the people in eastern Tn. do not know much about Middleton, What do they have? Tell us about yourself. What do they have that will help them win the state?

Middleton has the whole team back from a year ago minus one player. The team is 12 deep and can score. Middleton has scored over 100+ points five times this season and has played AA & AAA competition all year. This will be a close game and I promise it will not be a blowout. The team is to Deep and to Talented! Just ask the Defending State AA Champs Bolivar!

They are balanced inside and out. Their post is about 6'3" and plays 6'8". They are as quick from top to bottom as anyone around. They can penetrate, hit the three, and they rebound very well. They'll get a lot of putbacks. They are mentally tough and their coach is a winner. You folks are gonna be surprised.

You asked, so I thought I would share the info in the sectional tournament program.

These are in order of their jersey #, so don't read anything into the order the players are listed.

Justin Hill - G - 5'8" sophomore

Jammie Cheairs - G - 6' freshman

Manuel Donis - G - 5'8" senior

Johnny Tate - G - 6' junior

Tabias Murden - G - 5'10" freshman

Leon Hunt - G - 5'10" senior

Monterrio Williams - G - 6' senior

Chris Smith - F - 6'2" senior

Marq Murden - G/F - 6' junior

Randy Cheairs - F - 6'1" freshman

Al McKinnie - F - 6'1" sophomore

Darius Hart - C - 6'2" senior

Cody Childers - F - 6'5" junior

Chris Buggs - G/F - 6'3" junior

Jamichael McKinnie - C - 6'3" junior

The biggest thing going for this team is the way they work together as a team.

Your just mad the Middleton put out your Vikings. Now, Middleton is very athletic and have very good guards. They dont make a lot of mistakes, and play very good defense. Very quick guards that like to penetrate to the basketball, and have several good spot up shooters.

Basically this and the fact that most of the team lives in Grand Junction, and have played basketball together since they could walk. This feeling of family gives us an edge of sorts.Of course the top is all from what I hear.I don't follow basketball closely. What I add is from experience though.

Temple's in Chattanooga,correct?

This little girl has got problems. She can not stop running Middleton down. If she see's a post about Middleton she has to run us down. If our team is that bad then Lake county must be worse, we beat them. We are going to state Lake County is not. We must have been the better team that night. Yes, the fans helped but they did not win the game the players did. Middleton can play with any team in the state tournment because they don't depend on one star player. They are a team that has several good players that know how to play as a team.

    • Honestly the A.D. may be powerless at Maryville to some degree versus other schools. I know he has his hands full with GoFan and all the stupid surprises just from the emails he sends out during the season.
    • Harriman was better than what I anticipated. They had good skill guys and a QB that’s gonna make a lot of teams look silly. They had some silly pre snap penalties but it’s just spring and I guess that’s expected.    Oneida looks the part. They are big upfront and got a stable of backs that’s gonna carry them this year. They have a few playmakers at receiver also. They have a new receiver that has only played basketball till this year and he is very athletic. The question is can we find a QB to consistently get them the ball. They played 2-3 kids there and none looked great but they didn’t look awful either. The  defense is gonna be tough again but it’s very early and a lot can change between now and the fall.     It was good just to get out and watch some ball. I don’t know if Oneida has the team to win the region this year but just what I saw tonight I think they may be in the conversation come November.
