krichunaka
From Unicoi County: Jessica Mason. As of Friday night, Mason had pitched in three games this week (might have picthed in at least one more on Saturday); she won all three, and in 19 - 1/3 innings she recorded 35 strikeouts. On Tuesday, Mason held rival, Elizabethton to three UN-earned runs, struck out 12 and walked none. She pitched 5 1/3 innings of an 11 inning, 9 - 7 win at Happy Valley; ten strikeouts. Friday night, in very cold Erwin, Mason shut out Unaka 1 - 0. She struck out 13 batters in a tremendous game. Again, no walks. Great job, Jessica! JONSIEJ
WHO HAS SOME FRESHMEN PITCHERS THAT MIGHT MAKE SOME NOISE THIS YEAR? SUMMERTOWN HAS ONE THAT, WITH A LITTLE WORK, CAN BE ONE OF THE BETTER PITCHERS IN THE MID-STATE, IF NOT STATEWIDE. (I HER NAME IS KENDRA DAVIS) WHO ELSE HAS SOME GIRLS LIKE THIS??? 825613719[/snapback] CHELSEA JONES FROM TULLAHOMA H/S HAS HAD A GREAT START AS A FRESHMAN. HER RECORD IS 6-1. SHE'S A HARD WORKER AND DEDICATED. SHE'S STARTED AND WON SEVERAL VARSITY GAMES ALREADY.

hitrunscore
Shelbyville has two freshman pitchers who have stepped up for the Eaglettes. One is Samantha Dye. The other is Abbi Foster. I have watched both pitch, and they have a bright future ahead of them.

Jones ) from Tullahoma. From behind the plate, she has great ball movement. If she stays healthy, we will be posting about her for the next 3 years. I think Tullahoma would have been in trouble without her in the dugout this year.
