I tell you what I love what Andre does for kids and Rocky Top is a good thing but I am amazed at how many kids go into these things trying to blow up themselves instead of working their craft tobget better. Saw a point guard today go 1-12 and the one was a razzle dazzle dippy doo that went in. Cmon kids if you are a point guard show how you run a show and distribute the ball. Just an example. Work your craft all the points of it. Show me a point guard that scores more than he creates and most the time I will show you a 500 team or worse

You are exactly right 12thman. The lack of basketball IQ is scary. I think after watching several teams play, both Hunter Reynolds (CAK) and Luke Smith (Catholic) get it as a PG. I've seen way to many of those guys going 1-12 from outside without trying to do anything different. Even if you are a good shooter, you've got to recognize when it's just not your night from outside. There are plenty of other ways to help your team. I understand trying to work on some weaknesses during a fall league but at crunch time you better revert to your strengths if you want to win. I'm not sure how much of the problem is coaching related but there is way to much emphasis on athleticism vs. basketball skills.

Hunter and Luke are my two favorites in Knoxville. They both get it! Luke is a rare one in that he might actually score more than he dishes night in night out, but I am ok with that when his over all game is as good as it is. He knows how to play and I don't think he has many 1-12 nights. He dials it back if his shot isn't there. Like Connor though, if his shot is on, he is going to keep it rolling. Hunter is just a great kid with a great coach and I really hope both those guys stay healthy all year. But I hope GCA wins 4.......LOL.......Go Rams....CJ ain't too bad up top either......

    • While I appreciate being credited with multiple accounts, I have to say that is not true. Will you please report back to your people that I am not someone who provides sharp, witty banter, but rather someone who is putting the shoe on the other foot for some people that have been repeatedly bashing others here and in real life for the past few years? Everything that I have stated has been backed by factual evidence or public record, so no need to be sharp and witty.
    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
