Trezevant vs Mitchell @ Fairgrounds - Week 10 (Thursday Night)

This is a big 2A game in Memphis. Trezevant is a Region 7 team. Mitchell is a Region 8 team. Both are 4-4 on the season. Trezevant's one region loss cam to MAHS via forfeit. Mitchell doesn't have a region loss. However, they have an 'L' on their schedule from a Region 7 team already. They lost to Douglass by a score of 12-7. Trezevant just beat Douglas this past Monday night by a score of 36-14. With this being a Thursday night game and Trezevant just finished playing this Monday night ... that gives them a really short week. Really short.

 

More then likely, Mitchell will win their last Region 8 game against Fairley next week resulting with a 1 seed. They (Trezevant and Mitchell) could very well meet up again in the playoffs If they both advance in the playoffs. Food for thought.

      TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.

      stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
