Sevier County is the only team on a bye this coming week. Based on this week's numbers, Regions 2 and 4 would each get 5 teams into the playoffs, while Regions 1 and 3 would get 3 teams each. On the cut line this week - The Musket Bowl. Winner is in, loser is out. Everyone else should be pretty safe.

*Ooltewah, Campbell County, and Tennessee High have wins over out-of-state opponents.

**Note that if TSSAA had treated the Catholic-Morristown West outcome as a throwaway (instead of a forfeit), Morristown West would drop from #2 to #7 (16.576 points).

I don't know where your getting your computer number from but if you want to see the real computer number here they are for Tennessee. Just goes to show you how any poll can be manipulated if you leave out all the reporting aspects, especially on computer rankings.

Read page 1. I calculated these rankings based on the OHSAA format. It isn't meant to compare across classifications, it is simply for regional playoff rankings within a single classification. And for something to talk about.

    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
