  3. With "KING JOHN" (Mayor John Cooper) and the Metro Council passing a 34.5% property tax increase over the unanimous objections of the citizens of Davidson County there is absolutely no reason that every MNPS should not have a turf field.

  7. Most DB fans get a little frustrated come scrimmage time. I don't recall at any time when DB went into a scrimmage to win it, or see how many scores they can get. It's frustrating to the fans because we're all ready for some football and we're all wanting to see the horses run. I think most staffs are like this but there are some that would prefer to show off rather than teach and learn. It's even worse if you have a bunch of players returning. You pretty much already know what they can do so you tend to sprinkle in the younger and less experienced guys to see how they react. I could probably count on one hand the number of scrimmages DB has "won" in the past 10 years. I've learned not to get excited or dejected over a simple scrimmage.

  8. Enough about whoever it is your talking about. This thread is about the Tullahoma Wildcats. Yes, 22 seniors graduated. Did they all start? No. Multiple starters went both ways, sometimes starting and sometimes not. Since the Wildcats blew out most of their opponents, the younger players got a lot more playing time than would normally be the case. Sometimes they played over half the game. Additionally, the upcoming classes have been in the same system and same weight training program as last year's seniors. I think they will do better than expected. Both coordinators return and keep an eye on the kicking game. It will be impressive. I'm not predicting a region title for the Wildcats, but I do think they will be one of four playoff teams. I'm predicting 8-2 or 7-3 and maybe third in Region 5-4A. Expect the same four teams; Pearl Cohn, Tullahoma, Marshall County, and Montgomery Central to go to the playoffs from this ridiculous nine-team region.

  9. Well done Lou. It was fun watching highlights from games I did not have a chance to watch. The Knox Catholic TD run was unbelievable.
