Ok 1st of all, settle down, I did not disrespect Ramsey; that part of my response was directed towards the individual who made the post I was responding to. I hope and am pretty sure Ramsey could care less if there is a younger player in the state better than him, nor should he. You are correct, no 1 can say for absolute who is the best player in the state but we can have our opinions and discuss them here.....

Yeah I agree, my head coach was an ancient history teacher which wasnt a very hard class (imagine that) but the assitants taught math(algebra), english, science, and special ed.....

You are quite correct that I have more knowledge than yourself despite your sarcasm. I have seen both play and based on their athletic abilibilties, skill set, and how well each play their positions, Hurd is in my opinion the better player. The meaursables also favor Hurd, I know he is bigger although not quite as quick/agile as Ramsey but not far behind. I dont know what Ramsey's 40 time is but I have heard that Hurd has been clocked at 4.3 low 4.4 range. Just by watching I wouldnt guess Ramsey is quite that fast but like I said, I do not know. I have no bone in either of these guys teams/careers and just by watching from a distance, if I was a college coach I would rather have Hurd. As a UT fan I would pick Hurd out of the 2 as well. I will now wait for the "but he plays elite competition" response.....

Heck, every coach I ever had in school split time between coaching and teaching, that is pretty much how it is at most schools now to the best of my knowledge. Probably the exception would be private schools which I thought were largely intended for religious purposes but they seem to be more like footbal/athletic factories instead.....

Not so good NE team, lol, ur a tool, they are not great I will give you that but they are a good team. DC is better than I thought this year, but I am sorry to say the region they play in will leave them ill-prepared for the post season once again.....

Please do not bash the coaching staff, they were pretty much set up for failure this year. Just let them get a full off-season in and see if there is improvement next year. If you want to blame some1 see LEON's post in ref to Grimes above this 1, thats where the blame lies.....

You are exactly right Jalin Hurd is the best player in the state regardless of age. Too bad for Jalen Ramsey there is a player a year younger who is better.....

I agree w/ everything you said about Coach Shelby but I played against that 1995 NE team my junior year and as good as this team may be this year, I just dont think they had as good athletes (w/ the exception of Reeves-Maybin). That 95' team had more team speed and depth; that is by far the best team I have seen come out of Montgomery Co. They even came close to defeating a Brentwood Academy team that was nationally ranked.....

I couldnt agree more, he will put on 15-20 pounds in college which will put him at 6'3 225-230 and wont lose anything, that size w/ his skill set and he will be a beast on the next level.....

Jalin Hurd is top dog in the state, dont believe me just look at what the scouts say. Also, he is just a junior, he will be even more of a beast next year. Elder is a great player w/ great players around him, Hurd is a great player w/ pretty good players around him.....

Beech will win 1 way or another I believe..... I will say 35-17.....

They still have solid lines on both sides of the ball; they are just young/inexperienced this year. Also, and this is just by looking, they dont seem to have as much size as they did the last couple years (on the line), I could be wrong.....

So ridiculous, the comment about having faith in his defense is just as ridiculous; they didnt stop Hurd for 3 quarters, what makes anybody think the last few minutes of the game would have been any different. Had they kicked it deep, Beech either runs the clock out and then scores, or runs the clock out and sends it to OT. By going w/ an onside kick, they stop them and have a chance to win, or Beech scores more quickly (which they did), giving them the opportunity to tie. Regardless of what they did they were both viable options. Far from anything to blast him on about making decisions though.....

Perfect setting for an upset, Jackets are better than their 0-4 record indicates and I dont think DC is quite as good as they were last year from what I have seen. I say Jackets win 26-21.....

Not saying I disagree, just say the refs sucked and not that we would have won 50-0,(if he did say that). It doesnt really matter now anyway, HC looks to be really tough again and it looks like they may get a shot at Beech again in the play-offs and if I am not mistaken, it should be in Paris this year right?; correct me if I am wrong. I am still alive and well, my current situation has kept me from attending any games this year thus far. I do plan on making it out when I can however, for the record I am also in the minority concerning the new stadium as I prefer the history/atmosphere that comes w/ Boyce Smith field. Lastly, when I saw the score of this game I fully expected to hear about the performance of the refs, lol. I feel the statement by the HC coach was inappropriate even if it was true, you won, dont discredit the kids for keeping it close regardless of the curcumstance.....

Thats what I was thinking, Clarksville Academy will be in the mix in the west.....
