I was maybe a year or 2 ahead of Henderson in school, I remember the story that came out in the Tennesseean when he was in Middle School and they were calling him Baby Shaq and he was having trouble finding shoes big enough to fit him, now someone who remembers this correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the actual Shaq sent him some shoes that fit or something to that effect...lol

Well getting score updates 2 minutes before they score is nice, NFHS is on delay...

Yup, I wanted to see that roughing the passer, just had a penalty to take a score off the board, and then a penalty to keep a drive going that led to a score for the other team...

Show me where I wrote that, my point is this, Beech had a huge turnover from the season before, new starting QB as well as other key positions, so yes they benefitted much more from the experience of the season than teams with most of their team intact from the previous season, as they had things to figure out...

Great game, I dont care whitch side side of the state wins the gold ball, if it aint my team in it I just wanna see a good game... Congrats to AC, way to hold on after going down early, very fun game to watch, best of the weekend so far... I hate that the PC QB got hurt at the end, would have liked to see how it played out with him throwing the ball there...

I honestly do not believe that matters at all at this point, especially with it being the 1st game of the season, I would say Beech is much better right now. I am not saying they would beat West, but I do think it would be a good competitive game...

I second that, would be very interesting to see how they would match up with either of those teams!

While watching this game I heard a whistle outside, when I looked out the window there was a yellow flag laying in my yard...lol

Great game and very fun to watch, hats off to both teams, congrats to Alcoa for winning their 8th straight Gold Ball! EN had some studs on their team as well, their QB #2 Beard is a beast, very fun to watch that young man play football. They did not say if he had any offers, but he should be playing football somewhere next year in college...

I was thinking with the rezoning of the Robco schools several years back, I know they got some decent athletes from Springfield, I figured they would emerge back to where they were earlier in the 2000s or at least close, but it just has not happened...
