Hey catpack youre such a loser...Bruce Lussier was as good a coach as you could want. He knew the x's and o's as good as anybody, he organized the program extremely well. He had ONE 6-4 season and thats because the talent on the team was terrible. He also did go 12-2 back to back years with talent that wasnt extraordinary. So why dont you just support the cats and love them instead of trying to find somebody to hate. You are probably just not happy with your life and want to find somebody to take your hate out on you. But Bruce Lussier will definitly missed as the next head coach will not meet up his standards

I just think its pathetic that UT Men's basketball can hire a coach in under 2 weeks and there will probably be a new Pope in under a month but the great collection of brains that is our high schools administation can't hire a football coach in under 2 monthes.

You are talking about Joe Gaddis and the reason that he isnt the best selection is that he was run out of town when he left before. He didn't leave somewhere that he was winning 85% of his games for the heck of it. He was told he had to leave so why now would they want to bring him back? I jus dont want the hire to be someone that they hire because certain people in town would be very happy about the selection. I want them to hire the guy that will keep Oak Ridge one of the top 2 or 3 programs in the state

All that has to be said to get the Wildcats excited is...they win- first 3 rounds at the SHIP....they lose- the play on the road and never see blankenship again... Sounds to me like the wildcats will be extremely fired up and ready to rock and roll. I think they offense will be outstanding and the defense surprise people by shutting down the "Unbelievable" passing attack of the Trojans. Wildcats 42-17

Before Farragut the OR QB had 11 td's, 1 pick, and was completing 73% of his passes. Oak Ridge can pass the ball. I hope Ooletwah overlooks this and only focuses on the run this week cause if they do then Oak Ridge will throw all over them. Oak Ridge 35-14

oak ridge in 4 of the 6 games the starting QB has played only one series in the 2nd half...and in 4 of the 6 all the starters have been out by the 4th quarter. SORRY everybody that we wont start taking knees in the 3rd quarter and the beginning of the 4th...we happen to believe that the 3rd, 4th, and rest should have an oppurtunity to play football too...if they score they score...why dont the other teams just buck up and stop us???

I'm a player for Oak Ridge and I CAN NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST 4 WEEKS OF THE SEASON and to see how they play out...so far we have won everygame other than DB and are currently ave. i believe 53-10 or so...there are 3 other teams left undefeated and we play them the last 3 games of the season. It is shaping up to be one of the most exciting final 3 weeks of the regular season in a long time.

I played in the game last night and there was nothing but CLASS on the field. DB is my favorite team to play with nobody even coming close. I hate losing but if im going to lose to anybody its DB. After plays you are getting congratulated by the players and shaking hands and you can just see the respect both sides have for eachother. I dont appreciate the few db fans that have said that we have no class because i feel if you talk to anybody that played last night on either side there is nothing but respect for both teams by both sides. It was an extremely well fought and hard hitting game by both sides and that is how everybody should remember it. And I am looking very forward to hopefully meeting these guys again because I think there is nothing better in life then playing an OR vs. DB game on a friday night.

I hope everybody continues to believe Oak Ridge is nothing but a running team. So far the starting qb has 300 yards and has only played a series or two after halftime. Yes Oak Ridge is an unbelievable running team but I feel the big difference this year for the Ridgers opposed to last year is that they can pass and aren't afraid to. And I believe if need be the passing game would be able to beat teams that stack too many guys in the box. With receivers like Coffey, Thomas, and Rai...Tightends like Mitchell, Baldwin, Mulholland, then a plethora of backs to throw too there is no reason anybody should mistaken the Cats for a Run, Run, Run, and then Run some more team.

I think the most impressive thing OR's qb did was spread the ball around and stay calm back there while his receivers got open. He complete 8 passes to 7 different receivers. It's to stop a team's passing game when you have no idea who the ball is going to be thrown too.

The last time these teams played OR won 47-0 and the starters only played the first series of the second half. It was two years ago when Oak Ridge only won by a touchdown and Booker went down at halftime and Gulmire was only a freshman. This years team is much stronger than the team of 2004 too so we will have to see

Just curious what everybody thinks about the scrimmage friday.

Oak Ridge plays Fulton at 6 on monday. I enjoy the passing league very much but I dont like how Webb decided to do it this year. The games on Monday and Tuesday don't even count. A tournament will begin on Wednesday.

This is a passing league so I dont know how effective a Powerhouse fullback will be in it so I guess we will have to wait and see. I know that Oak Ridge beat Fulton last year and I would expect them to put on a good show out there. Not guarenteeing winning it all but I know they will play as hard as they can and usually for Oak Ridge that means WINNING.

Just curious why everybody is overlooking Oak Ridge...they did lose some people but does Oak Ridge ever not reload, well other than 2001. Game of the Regular season will be Week 3 OR v. DB at the Ship....Instant Classic

gulmire is 16 and won't turn 17 til November....all the talk about him being too old is ridiculous. People need to find somethin new to talk about

I know this high school football season isnt over yet but im just interested in what folks are thinking about Oak Ridge next year. Where will the coaches be? Shattuck Gray? How will the team perform?

why would Shattuck leave OR? It would be a tremendous paycut and he would be going to a program that has absolutely no chance of winning.

I was just interested in what everyone out there was thinking about the Oak Ridge vs. Clinton game coming up this thursday.

Oak Ridge will win the passing league.

Thats not exactly the toughest competition in the world they were playing at the Morgan Co. Passing league I am afriad. I am certain they would not put up that type of numbers againest any kind of decent competition.

I will just go ahead and let you know that Jeff and DB will not meet in the quarters. Whoever finishes first in that region may be there but the 2nd place team will definitly not. OR is going to be #1 in their region and then will go on in the playoffs and head to Murfeesboro to play whoever wants some from middle or west tennessee.

oak ridge also plays a very good schedule. next year they will add DB to the already tough number of region games they will have to play. Teams like McMinn Co., Ooltewah, and Soddy Daisy

While all of you love talking about how bad a coach Lussier is, the defense that he just this past year became the cordinator of is allowing a whopping 9.8 points per game. Thats pretty dang good. It seems that he has done his job coaching this defense and making it one of the nastiest, more ferocious defenses around. I would say that if the other team scores 10 points that you should win the game. Last year i would say that number was more like 20 or 25 and that was mostly the reason we were 6-4....so maybe Lussier isnt all that bad a coach after all...just something to think about
