  1. Independence has not won a District title, nor have they played in a championship game. Just fyi.
  2. Try the Showtime National Championships...here is the link: http://michaeltwhite.com/sncb/
  3. The Rage are a fine team, and I didn't mean to "bash" the Rage program, but they do not play the best of the best on a consistent basis. I simply pointed out what happened when they did run across a top team. If they really want to test themselves, then they would play in the shoe sponsored tournaments, such as the one recently played at Ensworth/Vanderbilt. Those types of tournaments are where the best teams and players are playing these days.
  4. Who acknowledged her as the best player in 11AAA?
  5. What's the schedule for today and tomorrow?
  6. Wow...that does sound like a mess, unfortunately. Sounds like it might take three or four years for this program to get back to 20 win seasons.
  7. That's a shame. Do you know how many girls are on the roster?
  8. That's what happens when the Rage plays a real AAU team. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  9. Father Ryan spent a lot of time searching just to come up with the freshmen boys coach /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
  10. Anyone have scores or a link to scores from these camps? It is nice to be able to see all the Shelbyville camp scores...just wondering if there is something similar for these two camps.
  11. Is the team going to any camps this summer? How many girls are on the roster? I know they graduated four senior starters.
  12. Perhaps she is going to allow new principal to make the hire? Otherwise, I can't figure out the delay.
  13. I hear that the Indy principal is leaving to go to an elementary school. Perhaps this might explain the delay in hiring a coach.
  14. I would say that Hillsboro is the front runner in District 11-AAA with Ravenwood right behind them. What makes you think that BHS and Ravenwood are interested in helping their kids get better while other schools are not? I'm not sure I follow you on that one.
  15. At what school(s) did this happen?
  16. Perhaps they should give it to William Belliford, a former Bobcat great who played for Tommy Griffith. This would enable them to move forward and embrace the past at the same time.
  17. I didn't see the Brentwood fans on here after Ravenwood beat them on Senior Night talking about Ravenwood being a one player team. The fact is that Ravenwood is not just one player. Hutson fouled out against Hillsboro, and Ravenwood still won. I do agree that Brentwood's overall starting five is more evenly balanced than Ravenwood's, but Ravenwood is by no means a one player team. Springer, King, Miller, Patton, Dickerson, and Sears can all play.
  18. I probably don't know much, but I would think that beating a team would at least put you on the same playing field as that team, especially with a 6'4" post player...I think she gives Ravenwood a chance against a lot of people. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  19. The Tennessean lists the score as Brentwood 47 Ravenwood 20. Perhaps someone who was there could enlighten us as to how things unfolded? I don't think anyone thought the margin would be that wide. As for the region, I think District 11 is better this year, and I think it's possible you could see a sweep if Independence is able to knock off McGavock. McGavock, I think, is a strong team again this year, but I'm not so sure about the rest of District 12...no disrespect intended, just my opinion.
  20. I think Franklin pulls away late to win by 12, and the streak lives on.
  21. It's disappointing to see a post that tries to take away from a great win by East. To imply that they won because they were too physical or dirty is a shame. They are a young team that is very talented, and I predicted in another thread that they would make some noise in this district.
  22. I've got Brentwood in this one since it's at their place. However, I think it will be MUCH closer than the last game, which was definitely an abberation, in my opinion. In fact, I would not be surprised at all to see Indy take this one, but I'll stick with my gut and say Bruins in a close one.
  23. Good point /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
