Yes but the release I was referring to specifically said 5 days of heat acclimation and I believe it said 10 days full contact. At any rate 2 or 3 days isn’t a week. I’d say if it changes the 20th then 1st practice is 21st. Add 2 week (14 days) from then and that’s the 1st date eligible to return to play. At least that’s the way I take it. Could be wrong, haven’t put much thought into it since we’re popping pads like y’all are and getting ready for OS on the 21st! At least for now anyway. I’m not for the being ashamed or apologizing part but a mask is sound advice for decreasing the chance of either contracting or spreading any airborne contagion. Healthcare workers have been wearing masks for decades for both their protection and the protection of patients. There is a lot of misinformation surrounding this virus I agree completely but the fact that the right kind of mask reduces the spread of any airborne contagion is sound. It’s kinda like washing up after you go to the bathroom. Nobody can make you but it’s a good idea for everyone lol.

I’m with you on the spring idea. Why punish spring sports. That’s just as unfair as what’s going on up there now.

Influenza is still more easily spread, more total cases and higher death total and rate than Covid-19 and there is a proven vaccination for influenza. Nobody closing schools or hoarding TP over the flu. It’s the media’s job to scare the population, it’s the job of the population to discern what should warrant fear. It seems while the former is improving their ability the latter has nearly lost theirs entirely.

Well I was told Tuesday that Happy Valley was delaying their start for football. Reckon someone maybe didn’t want the rest to get to much of a jump on them maybe?

They typically don’t. It’s ok, they weren’t impact players just as I suspect if any came from Scott they’re not either. Most of the time around here IF one school gets players from another it typically has to do with a family member teaching or working at one or the other high schools or a situation where divorce or custody situation causes it. Also sometimes “county” kids in junior high change to Oneida in high school just like “Oneida” kids in junior high go to Scott for high school. Neither team is successful enough to “draw” from the other based on year to year success. Sure Oneida has more playoff games and has won it all in history but year in and year out we’re not playing on Thanksgiving week or beyond.

I doubt we put it on very many people but especially rockwood. We always have close games with them even when one is obviously better than the other. 10 points either way is typically a large margin with us and them. Good luck to y’all as well for however many weeks we actually get to play this fall.

In all seriousness we will be what we usually are. We’ll be 2nd or 3rd in region depending on the rockwood game. We’ll play 1-3 games in November. We’ll be tougher than most think we’ll be and we’ll lose the ones we’re supposed to, probably one that we shouldn’t, and likely make a superior team nervous at some point. Hopefully it’s y’all because it’s fun watching you get quiet and squirm when we keep one close. We will recover better than expected but don’t think we’re gonna shock the world.

We had about 18 of 22 starters graduate last year. We’re gonna be little, slow, weak and undisciplined just like always. Be lucky to squeeze out 4th place I’d say

I agree. T$$AA will either continue as normal or call it off completely IMO. It’s all about the money with them. I doubt the let it continue with no fans or very limited fans.

Since this has taken on a biblical theme I wanna take the chance to mention a podcast called Unashamed with Phil Robertson. Y’all know the duck dynasty guys. It’s part shooting the breeze and part bible study. It’s growing like crazy, started as once a week and up to 3 time a week now. I recommend starting at episode 1. You can download them so you don’t use cell data if you’re traveling. I use podbean but any podcast app will work. Awesome way to spend a commute I might add.
