  2. This is a rule on the boards here some that CoachT has posted! ------------------------------------------------------------ These are some things I have learned from emails and private messages from members. Check back here occasionally as we will add other suggestions, etc. as necessary: Message Board Settings First thing to look at is how you view the messages meaning there are several ways to view the boards. (1) Look just above this thread and you will see either Expand or Tree. I much prefer Expand but try both and see which you like. (2) In the same area you will see RevSort or FwdSort. Again, my preference is RevSort so I see the most recent posts at the top. Takes a little getting used to but, especially when there are a LOT of posts on a topic, it keeps you from having to go to the last page each time in order to see what was posted last. Again, see which you like. (3) There are some other choices in your Profile, also. Please use initials of schools sparingly! Especially if you are beginning a thread the use of initials can be confusing. Many schools around the state share initals with other schools. Editing or Deleting Messages. You can edit or delete your OWN message(s). Go to the message, look for the EDIT link, and follow the directions. If you have accidentally posted the same message twice or more then you can delete all but one of them, one at a time. Best Font Settings to view site. I saw a fan's computer once and didn't recognize my own site. It was set for Large fonts and there was "stuff" all over the place. Using Internet Explorer click "View", "Text Size" and see what you like. I use the Smaller option but you decide. Netscape 4.7 We have a lot of trouble with this browser. Try upgrading or using Internet Explorer. Plus membership. This is a place for members who occasionally want to discuss other topics besides prep sports. It is improving daily as we get more members involved. One extra benefit is the Private Messaging with Plus. It is a very convenient service to have. The CoachT Chat room is another very useful, entertaining feature of Plus, also. The cost is only $12 a year. (We use PayPal for payments which is used by EBay and others, very secure.) Helps us pay the server costs, etc, on the site. [Edited by Sequatchie on 11-20-02 9:55P]
  3. This boys game has been cancelled, SCHS needed to play the game on Thursday instead of Friday and Coach Slatten said that White County could note get a bus, so this game is no longer on. As a moderater & Plus Member I would like to remind people not to use school initials in the Subject line like you have here White County vs SCHS you know the school you are talking about but other people don't remebmer this website covers state wide so the SCHS could be any of the following schools depending on where you are at! Sale Creek High School Sequatchie County High School Sevier County High School Smith County Stewart County High School Sullivan Central High School So remember put the entire schools name in the subject line!
  4. I just hope they can find away to keep Glvine and Maddux they want look right in any other uniform!
  5. I can't remember scores but Grundy beat Sequatchie, Marion beat Sequatchie thats the only two I know Marion looked good.
  6. Thanks, I thought there might be a schedule in the "Tribune" but I didn't see one.
  7. Kell44, Do you have the time the Jamboree starts and a full schedule boys & girls games? How many Lady Indians do we have on roster this year?
  8. Could you give me the date and time? I don't know who will be good I haven't seen any practices thats why I was wondering about the Jamboree if Jordan Cain gets into basketball mode and if Justin Price gets healthy from football I assume they are playing I would think the Indians would be pretty athletic but you would have to think that every team in the Valley will finish behind Howard & Hixson in the region.
  9. KELL44, Will there be a Sequatchie Vallley Jamboree this year? I haven't heard anything about one.
  10. Will there be a Sequatchie Valley Jamboree this year it's usually at Dunlap or Jasper or out on the mountain at Grundy Co.? Any news about this??
  11. I have yet to say anything about the Public/Private debate but I think its time I put my 2-cents in. I went to the Sequatchie Co./Goodpasture game last night and it was over before it started I don't think any Seq. fans or even the players thought they could win that game against a team like that even on the coin toss the Seniors were captains for both teams out comes the Indians 4 Seniors and Goodpastures 16! Sequatchie's entire roster has only 28 players total compared to Goodpastures 74! Maybe its my public education but is this not a mismatch? I checked the Goodpasture starting lineup and stat sheet that they were so grateful to put in the Program and I counted only 4 or 5 players listed both ways as where Sequatchie County has only 2-3 that don't Play BOTH WAYS! So do you still think that Private Schools don't have a disadvantage? Just ask all those kids from public schools that want be playing another game because they were playing teams that they shouldn't have been playing in the first place. One thing I would take Sequatchie County's Stadium, Field and Fan friendly facilities anyday! [Edited by Sequatchie on 11-9-02 12:22P]
  12. Didn't playoff Games start 7:30 a couple of years ago?
  13. Derrick's is around 5'9'' 185 lbs. The fastest we have clocked him is a 4.47 forty on the track. He is probably a true consistant 4.5 to 4.6 guy. Only 185 lbs. he to me I was setting at the top of the stadium looks closer to 195-200 pound guy. I would also like to see him at UTC they finally started last year signing local players I hope that continues.
  14. He has has a ankle or hill injury for about a week!
  15. You hit the nail on the head I also think Kelley Washington is one of the best athletes to ever walk on The Hill in any sport. I also think Casey Clausen should be the Qb next year even though a lot of people think it should be J. Banks and it is time we got a new Offensive Coordinator Coach Sanders has got us a National Title but I think its time we got a young fun coach who would call fun imaginative plays that someone who the players would love and that someday might be the next headcoach like the way Coach Fulmer worked his way up. 16. Sequatchie County 19 Tellico Plains 15 Sequatchie scores with about two minutes left on a 25 yard TD pass to Derek Crawley and then Jessie Price intercepts the ball to give the Indians the win.
  17. I haven't heard this a lot of problems this year has been the injury bug for the Indians a couple of games they were going on Defense with 2 freshman and a DB at linebacker and a freshman Runningback but I think most people are upset with the lack of a passing game or the attempt of one in the offense the QB Jordan Cain could be one of the best in the Chattanooga area but he doesn't get the chance to throw the ball down field he had one long pass last week before halftime but didn't go down the field with dropback passing in the game again but mayb one other time despite single coverage with your best reciever on a small DB also they are just now getting a Freshman Curt Bureau in at WR who I think could have been a major WR for the Indians this year if he was tried earlier in the year. He had a great night catching the ball in a JV game Monday at Marion County. I think he it will be another tough game and it will be up to the defense to put the Indians in scoring position. 24-21 Sequatchie Maybe?
  18. My Hats off to the community in which this happened!
  19. I find that the Times-Free Press for a lot of people including me don't like that they spotlight Ga teams and not teams from the northern area and the Sequatchie Valley area.
  20. The reason I don't put Alabama or Georgia is because if you look at the heading it says "CoachT.com Tennessee High School Sports" not Georgia and not Alabama they don't play each other very often. If you want to discuss those states teams find a board that is about that state!
  21. The last time the Indians played in Pikeville they jumped all over the Warriors for a 56-0 Win last year it was a last minute fieldgoal by Mackersie for a 10-0 win I think it should be somewhere in between them if Sequatchie can find the Offense they win by 10 or more but if not a game like last year either way its always a packed house for these two!
  22. I think Tennessee will get Leak but I think after seeing James Banks I don't think Tennessee will have to get a 5-Star Quarterback this year. I think Casey Clausen will stay for his Senior year and that will give Banks the chance to polish his skills as a college QB. He would then have two years to play for the Vols like Tee Martin did in 98-99. Chris Leak would not start untill his Sophmore year anyway.
  23. I would like to know why Vanderbilt don't want to continue with this Rivalry are they worried that it will get like the Tennessee series with Vandy never getting much of a chance to win? I think it is Vanderbilt's loss if they do not keep this series going as close as the two schools are located. I suppose its when they look in the stands and its all Blue & Gray it reminds them of when its all Orange every other year.
