  1. Not to mention the recovery of an onside kick would have somehow magically won the game. It takes a whole lot of effort to score on Alcoa and there is no guarantee they would have scored to even tie the game.
  2. Agree 100% BC. However, IMO our OL is not playing it’s best football right now. This issue started with the AE games late this season. Last night was another marginal performance. Excessive penetration and failure to maintain contact/blocks presented our backs with some unworkable situations. Speaking of backs, where was #2 in the first half? Of course, you have to give great rspect to the defensive scheme and the aggressiveness of Upperman’s D-Line and LB corps. They executed very well And gave our boys all they wanted. Bottom line: all good things begin and end with the quality of play from the front five. Our OL need to trash their early season press clippings, execute a technique refresh, and find the early season success once enjoyed.
  3. Congrats to the Bees for a hard fought and well played game! I hope we get to see you in Alcoa next year.
  4. As you wish. Question: Is it true that Upperman makes comemerative T-Shirts when then win their spring scrimmage game?
  5. Well, this response confirms who I thought you were. I will make my sentences shorter next time. Carry on.
  6. You have consistently taken shots at every Alcoa poster on here and challenged their intelligence. You talk as if you are somehow intellectually superior. You attack and accuse some of us of working at McDonalds. Yet you have no clue who you are talking to. Lastly, it appears you do not understand this board is where good natured, yet pointed, banter occurs. Good move getting off here; you are no match for these goons. Your superior intelligence has been pummeled like a baby seal.
  7. I have one question for the Bee fans here: what makes you better this time? For example, last time your O and D lines were pummeled like baby seals. Are they improved this time?
  8. Thank you! Started rehab Monday. Good luck Friday!
  9. Sorry buddy! Laid up with a knee replacement right now. On the road working the rest of the time.
  10. Spot on Hammer. Very few of those Blount Middle School kids could compete for a starting job on the AMS roster.
  11. Great man. I enjoyed and treasured his friendship years ago. Prayers for his family and the Maryville family.
  12. So all the Admiral fans are supposed to keep their designer dogs in their BMWs?
  13. No way. That yeller bus must be parked on your head.
  14. The seating is a little spartan but the in-flight entertainment is on point!
  15. BC, how is our Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) recruiting budget? I am headed to Warsaw, Poland soon on business and I hear they are some 6’4” 260lb 13 year olds there. I recon we need a few new earth movers in the pipeline. Is the benefits package still the same?
  16. Absolutely! Very impressed with the Magnificent 7! As far as I am concerned, they are the reason for the win. So happy for the unit. “One hand in the dirt, forever my pride!” God. Bless my friend!
  17. If Alcoa moves up to 4A you will see the teams scatter like chickens in a tornado.
  18. The RBs, QBs and WRs will get all the credit, but the Alcoa OL dominated all night. The gap between these rivals has been gradually closing for the last few years and I do not think this game will be an instant W for the Rebels in the next few years. As with last night, turnovers will be the one element that will determine who wins this game over the next few years. Most importantly, despite the intense rivalry, both teams showed tremendous class on the field and that speaks volumes for our combined communities, players, and coaching staffs. Granted, we both have our extreme exceptions to this statement. This is the only Friday night I do not cheer for the Rebels and look forward to seeing the Rebels in CookVegas this December. Congrats to both teams for one of the best games I have ever watched.
  19. Well done men! A well balanced offensive performance!
  20. These McMinn County Schools get more confusing the older I get. Is this the blue and white team with the gal on the horse or is this the black and yeller gold team? The blue and white one has cows a grazing right next to the field. The black and gold one has a Taco Bell close by as I recall. Either way, Professor Hunt is playing band members by the end of 2.
  21. Most of us Alcoa fans will not trash talk. We are long time friends that cheer for one another every Friday night except one. Yes, there are deviations of this relationship on both sides; but they normally fade out over time ( or create another account and name).
  22. Congrats Rebels! You just outplayed and defeated the best offensive line to ever play a high school game! Giant killers!
