BigOwl do you have complete schedules for Baylor and McCallie

Want bigger crowds at Metro games find a way to get Metro schools into 2 different classes (5A & 6A) instead of spread out over 4 (3A-6A). Think that would help stir up excitement if these games were region games. Also would help if MNPS would promote a "Game of the Week" and move it to a Vanderbilt or TSU. You don't have to move them all to neutral sites but 1 or 2 a year would be a start.

I noticed that both MBA and Father Ryan are scheduled to play Baylor at Baylor on 10/27. Doesn't look like an easy fix since MBA and FR both have full 10 game schedules.

Saw several coaches public and private at the Marshall v Gra-Mar championship football game this fall. Guess the TYFA and TNYFL Saturday games are next

I agree Coach that facilities don't bring in wins just hoping that it stirs some excitement. I would think your players were glad to not have to ride the bus to practice and home games. Why don't you Broadbent and Pigue go and go back and get it started.

I think it could be like any other sports team that gets improvements to their facilities. When Antioch moved to Hobson Pk you saw an upswing in their football success. Then came CR and thinned the talent. Everyone gets excited when something is new and fresh. New stadium, concessions, track, and now hopefully a new fresh and excited coach/staff. I also think you can look at some rezoning that happened in the late 90's about the time Hillsboro's run started along with the decline at "the Cliff".

New track, concessions, restrooms, field house, and HOF/alumni room coming very soon to go with new bleachers installed 2 years ago. It's not Williamson or Rutherford but it's a start.

Tough place to coach and rebuild. Would like to see someone bring some success back at the 'Cliff. Any names yet

Indy had a chance to put CR away but could not run the ball. Had the ball with 4:36 in fourth I think with CR only having 2 TO's left and went 3 and out. If Bwood can keep the big plays down and limit yards after catch this game is close like last weeks game

Clinic Bowl was played on Thanksgiving afternoon. Also Lawrenceburg had the Crockett Bowl. I've heard my mother talk about going to watch Nashville Central play down there in the early 60's if I remember correctly

Our local supervisors do a good job of trying to observe officials work. When you have 16+ games we service week after week it's hard for 3 or 4 guys to see every game, and official. I know we are graded pretty tough. The observing and grading is a thing that is and will continue to grow and improve. But also during this meeting TSSAA formed a group to study a way to grow the number of officials. This can only help the quality of officiating by hopefully creating competition for games to work. Because I know our assigning officer will use the BEST guys.

Those of you on here that are quick to blast football officials should come give it a try. We are about to get things going. The state will be glad to have you professionals register and improve our roster of officials. Just for the record in football we (the association I'm in) are graded/observed for opportunities to work playoff games. We are prone to make mistakes but all the guys I work with put in as much as 4 to 10 hours a week not counting Friday night of work and study on officiating. Just be careful judging guys doing something most of you are scared to try

Why would students from other schools come to Cookeville to pull for another school? Was at a scrimmage at Ravenwood in August before school started they had the whole band and about 4,000 people there. Coach Hester has done a great job getting the community fired up about Raptor football. Don't see support like that at just any hs without lots of work. Congrats to Coach Hester and RHS.

wildcat when you do your job do you have people dropping F bombs at you, calling you everything under the sun and throwing out threats at you like the WC fans? Most likely not. Would really like to see you come out there in the Friday Night Lights or even on Saturday morning with the pee wees and give it a shot. Just to see how it really looks from the field. The TSSAA needs officials in all sports. Until you've been there think you better stick to Xbox!

howdoitknow2 have you ever officiated any type of sports? With that comment I doubt you have most officials I know put way to much into their trade as an official between meetings, tests, 3 to 6 games a week. To much to throw away just because of emotions, not to say it hasn't ever happened. You make it sound like they all stayed at a Holiday Inn Express the night before the game. Maybe before you make such comments you might try to put yourself in their STRIPES. We all know coaches and fans never let their emotions show! Just remember bad calls are made night after night that does not mean that an official did something on purpose, all that means is they are human and just screwed up.

Daughters play sports at CRHS they have not heard anything about Abner leaving. CRHS had tons of injuries O-line hit hard. Plus had to practice anywhere he could find grass (front of school). Metro decided to finally level, derock, and sod f-ball practice field and soccer field just as school started makes it hard when your f-ball and girls soccer have to practice in the front yard of the school.

I need to edit a schedule how do I do that? Do i just add the game with the same date with correct info. Just need a little help THANKS
