Gibbs and AC will be improved. Both had good summers. CC lost a lot of size. Clinton has to replace Birdman and Powell. Not sure if Lenoir City transfer gets to play. Powell has Hamilton back. Halls has the other Moore back. Not sure about Central but they have under achieved the last few seasons. Karns lost 5 starters.

Oak Ridge-- return pg Gee and a JV team that would've made the region last season. Javien and Deandre as well as Middleton give Oak Ridge one of the best junior classes in the state. Tee Higgins is an unbelievable talent as a sophomore. They might not have lost this summer and might sweep the district.

Steinmetz is very good at shooting every time he touches it. Nothing more.

Kid needs to get passed a certain hobby he likes. Leaving Vine and going to Powell didn't help. I'm sure those type of problems don't exist at Oak Ridge .

Bearden transfer will not be a factor. Upchurch kids are very good, but not two of the top players in Miss. The top players in Mississippi go to Ole Miss, Ms State, and Southern Miss and they are not 5-11 white kids.

Basketball talent in those two classes isn't too shabby either.

Coach Ogan booted the highly touted Milddleton after multiple disciplinary issues last year and when his players told him they didn't want him on the team anymore. New Powell coach had already let him go after tryouts for the summer due to him not doing what he said he would. I know every coach believes they can change kids and that they need multiple chances, but OR should really be careful with this one. There is a very good reason why Fulton told him no thanks.

Campbell County had more talent than everyone in the league outside of Oak Ridge and Karns. CC and Central were preseason picks by most on here at the 3 and 4 spots. They were both picked in front of Powell, Halls, and Clinton. They both underachieved by finishing tied for 6th with AC. Wrong thread for this discussion. Higgins is not going to be Powell.

Great draw for Oak Ridge. They should beat Jefferson County and they get to avoid Hamilton, Brentwood, and Blackman. Semifinals will be tough but Oak Ridge has to like their chances.

Is Reginald Buckner back for Manassas? Must be

I think Jeff County's style hits well at the state. Tough half court defense and methodical offense. They are big inside but small at the guards. Their style matches up better with Siegel, Blackmon, and the West Tn teams. I just font think you can press those teams which us Oak Ridge's bread and butter. I hope both at least get to semi's.

Seems like weeks since the Cats put together a full game. They have been winning, but not in their usual fashion. Powell is on a mission, but they do not have the quality of teams in Murfreesboro. Merrion and Steen have faded and someone should put out an APB on Maddox. Hope the Cats turn it around.

The question shouldn't be did he throw the game, but would he have done the same thing if it was an elimination game. The answer is no. Wright did not care which team he got once he was put in consolation game.

Oak Ridge is legit. They have played great athletes at some of the tournaments but not seen that kind of defense. It will be interesting to see who else goes to the State with them.

OR was up 9 at one pt vs Fulton. Bottom line they choked. Fulton locked them up and OR has not seen that kind of D all season. District and region are weak this year.
