I know we need another upgrade on that side...but that's the upgrade we got from the old style metal/wood plank seats back in 1991. There was talk a couple years ago to build a new large set of bleachers on that side for everyone since the field house obstructs the view of the corner of the south endzone on our side depending on where your sitting. That talk has gone quiet for the time being.

IMO...this Is our best group draw compared to our previous 2 years in the 'Boro.

In what time frame did they try...if it was close to the first of the year, you missed the bus. If GB had a home/home series with WB...talk about a major way to draw in more players for GB from WB, it would be like going in and raiding somebody's cupboard...this assumption is solely based on the past history between WB and GB.

OnB...is telling it like it is pertaining to Taft. They also bout split our RB in two on one occasion during the game, shoved him way out of bounds right into a set of guide wires of a utility pole...gfd709 can even tell ya what one of guards on the sideline told him, cause believe Coach told you all it was just a bunch of runaways and delinquents that were there. GB is 3-1 versus Taft...1987 W 48-14...1988 L 14-18...1989 W 14-6...1990 W 54-14. The game played at Taft occurred the latter half of October.

Was on...but GP back out as of late, from what I understood a request by the Sevier Co. school system concerning the county's schools FB scheduling was made. We have picked up Oneida to take their place.

Haven't been on here since the early hours of black Friday; talk about putting a strain on the eyes reading nearly 30 pages. So, here is my two cents... Two former players/alumnus stepped up to take control of a proverbial captain's wheel and stabilized a ship. They regrouped and set out on a new course that the community of Greenback, the school, nor they possibly could of known the destination. So, here we are some 40+ months removed from that summer of 2015 coaching debacle...With that said, it is hard to comprehend the success Greenback football has had over these last four seasons...Oh, what a destination it has been, but hopefully it is just a short stay. During this four season journey, it has produced a gold ball plus two silver balls, first two Mr. Football award winners in school history, numerous All-State selections and quite possibly the most successful Senior class when it comes to sports overall in school history. As a person on the outside looking in, it has been a pleasure to watch this Senior class on the field and the accomplishments they have already received. Also, a huge thanks has to be said to all the coaches for stepping up and taking your time to guide these young men on the field and off. An more than anything...FULL SPEED AHEAD.

Actually they were to an extent with their 27 players...but it's hard for the two visiting teams to compete when the group officiating is bias towards the host. Plus, if it wasn't for the format of the scrimmage Whitwell would've seen 3 in out multiple times...just sayin.

Region 2 and Region 7

No game was scheduled to be played...Idk if Ravenwood in 6A got to add to their record or not; since Nash. Overton got removed from the playoffs yesterday because of the after game brawl with Antioch last week.

The forfeit win counted two years ago...this year and last year were T$$AA imposed "byes", so nothing goes towards record.

On that dreary, cold, and rainy night; all we had to do was punt the darn ball...Semis here we come...NOT.
