Saturday 2:00 p.m. at Barton Field they play in the West TN middle school championship. It will be a team from Memphis. I'm not sure who but they will be good.

Any of you coming up to Paris tonight? West TN middle school semifinals pits Inman Middle School(Paris)vs. Northview Middle School(Newbern right?). This should be a good one and a rematch from last years semis. Also, these teams have won the last 2 West TN middle school championships!

Interesting perspective and nice post TraderB. I am a Henry Co. fan and like I have said before, we have a legit shot at state. It will not be an easy task because of the talent level of teams we will face in the playoffs! No state championship is ever easy but I think we can do it.

Milan never schedules HC when we have a good team.

Inman Middle School plays Northview Middle School from Dyer Co. tonight @ 6:30 Barton Field. This is the semis of the West TN middle school playoffs. This is the same team that put them out last year in the West TN semis and they could use a huge crowd to fire the boys up. I'm sure they won't need any help getting ready for this game!

Henry Co.'s QB Marsalis Teague also has offers from Vandy,Stanford, & Duke. While not traditional football powers they are some of the finest academic institutions in this country. That is whay he is such a special player. He is a top notch student-athlete and carries himself like a fine young man off the field. As stated earlier, Henry Co's RB Dominique Allen deserves to be on the ballot as well. One of a kind high school RB with his size and speed. He is a bull on the field and fine young man too. Anyone who has seen him run does not want to attempt to tackle him one on one. Also, #4 FB in the nation on rivals and has big time programs interested.

I hope JCM and HC continue their rivalry in out of region games at some point in the future. There have been too many good games and teams over the years to let it go by the wayside!

I was replying to a question from bethelbound. He asked the question"Who is gonna actually test the big red in the playoffs?" I used the word to answer his question and the subject you wanted to discuss was in his post! You should have been replying to him like I did. I know nothing is guaranteed and have made no comments for anyone to think otherwise.

There are a few teams that can test us. Melrose, Hillsoro, & Maplewood come to mind. They are all good teams and won't roll over beacuse they heard we were bad to the bone!

I agree Swarm, it wasn't too long ago I didn't even enjoy going to the games. I went anyway but we were the ones taking the beatings most of the time!

They might have the best Deffence. Henry Co. has the best Defense in the west!

I am a huge Henry Co. fan and think we have a legit championship chance but don't get too cocky RiverRat. These teams we will meet up with in the playoffs aren't chump change and will test The Patriots. I don't care what anyone says we can be beaten! Melrose in the championship isn't laughable either. They have been a few times and won. Also, they have sent more players than any high school in the state of TN to big time D-1 programs and the NFL.
