  1. Tennessee wrestling is awesome, hopefully high school reputation will become more prevalent, and we all know that UTC has a great program. This should be a great tourny
  2. Lets just face it, coaching changes happen all the time, and for whatever reasons(see boys 11A thread) the good thing is it could rejuvenate a struggling program and garner interest from girls that might have not played in the past. A new coach, new system, and new players could all contribute to Culleoka girls suprising the district this year. Does anyone know which camps teams are going to? or play days involving the district or region?
  3. I agree and realize this is contriversial. losing and running up the score to "send a message" are 2 different subjects though
  4. Shaping up to be some great games
  5. thanks yoyo01, maybe we finally have a C'ville guy to keep us in the loop on things. It sounds like they are gonna have a lot of young talent, and play hard this year. We will see if experience wins over young talent. As far as the eligibility of transfer players, I am pretty sure that Lemire transfered during the last school year after the basketball season.I dont know how or what his eligibility is, I guess we will have to wait til that first game. As far as the other, I believe he transfered or moved this summer, however, he is just a big guy that is now on a MTP team that has plenty of big guys, so I dont know how much of a factor that will be
  6. Poor coaching, or coachability in some cases. A total lack of team chemistry.
  7. The Officials need to be clearly identified and recognized, I dont like all this confusion
  8. This team looks great this year, have you been out to see Staggs from Santa Fe?
  9. In Middle TN, I know its single A ball, but this kid Seth Staggs on Santa Fe in Maury COunty is the real deal.
  10. Good Stuff! Only thing I would do is switch CA and Richland...also, who all is playing those tough teams from the other half of the region this year?
  11. Ok, I will relist them and put a description for why 1. Mt. Pleasant: pre-season favorite due to height and athletism 2. Santa Fe: a large group of seniors this year (all with good experience and PT) as for the ball handling, that to my knowledge should not be a problem (with a good JR pg, as well as SR, and a SR transfer from hampshire?) 3.Richland: key word -stability- competitive teams every year, last year they were down, so this year they are back 4. Hamshire: Their youth has turned into experience, with Boshers and company finally making the cut and taking advantage of the recent changes in the District 5.CA: ok, they have some guards...but no scorers, no decent big man, and who is there coach? not the same as in years past-say hello to a new system and bye bye to a winning record in district play 6.Culleoka: Lost a coach, gained a rivals coach, Dejarnette will work hard and set it up for down the road..but this is not their year. 7.Cornersville: Who knows? I wish someone would get on here and tell me what they have, they could be a lot better than we think
  12. WOW, who would have thought Dejarnnete would leave CA, maybe the idea of him losing his "golden" boy in M Williams. I mean, we all knew that the talent level had decreased in the past few years at Culleoka, and Slatton was going to leave like he did many years ago when coming to Cully, look it up, he left a program after he sucked it dry before(see Perry County)...had many people say there was recruitment issues (just like at Culleoka)and left the program when the time was right, look out Moore County it will just be more of the same. As for the region of 6A, this has a few interesting turns, there was something else going on at CA, the Summertown programs looked poised for another great year, and all this confusion and turmoil from 11A will more than likely cause a new team to come out on top this year. Will it be enough to beat the teams from the other half of the region? who knows..
  13. 1. Mt. Pleasant 2. Santa Fe 3.Richland 4. Hamshire 5.CA 6.Culleoka 7.Cornersville Best players: MTP Smith, SF Mitchell
  14. Please get out of Santa Fe. You have no clue really. Bigler (SH) and Keaton (COL) have already been named along with many others from Spring Hill and Columbia Central. My bad, Im from Columbia...and that's a great thing for a coach to say about one of his players. These three have a good shot at playing WELL at the next level. There is no need for you to be mad at someone for giving their opinions....in a forum (about OPINIONS!) so Mr. LEE WILLIAMS maybe you should give some of your Post 19 boys some credit, after all didn't they win you a title?
  15. So, as the regular season ends, i would like to say that these guys on this list will be the ones trying the hardest to get their teams to the next level in the tournaments. As far as 11A goes, the two best individual performers in my mind have been Laster from CVILLE and Staggs from SF. One getting it done on the mound, in the field, and at the plate (well balanced this year is Mr. Laster), and one a little shaky compared to last year in the field and on the mound, but lights out at the plate (even on a poor performing team that would be Mr. Staggs)
  16. The two that I think have the best potential in the Columbia area... Tyler Bigler-Spring Hill A kid from Columbia Central (sorry forgot his name) Seth Staggs-Santa Fe
  17. ok, so just a shot in the dark here..I think that a SF-Cornersvillle matchup in the districts might prove to be a good one...first of all, cause the games were closer(as opposed to the MTP-SF games) in score than most of the other teams in the district vs. CVILLE. Also, its been a while since they have seen each other and I think thats good for the sport. Which is why, I have disliked the back to back schedule this year, it leaves no room for improvement. Lastly, I have seen all the teams in the district play, and CVILLE has the hardest throwing pitchers. Which i think is an advantage for the hitters at SF. Now it would take a little bit to have that happen, but im just sayin i think it would be an interesting matchup. Either way, Santa Fe wins there first postseason matchup this year...
