Yes, I know a lot of people. I coached youth sports for 13 years on top of being in a business that I meet a lot of people. I responded to your post because, while I might not post a lot on these boards the last couple of years, I am always on here keeping up with things and you have always been a good and a straight shooter. I just hate to see people taking the bait that a couple of others has been spewing on here the last couple of months. There is not another school and fan base that I respect any more than SP, and IMO, this game deserves much better. Hoping for a great game Friday night!!

I know three of the kids and their families (including the QB), no orchestrating there...they searched out GB and were told what they would have to do to attend GB. The QB's dad has told me that he had to make a move to Loudon County, had to provide proof of residence, had to show drivers license showing the new address and had to provide a copy of bills that were being mailed to the address, and even said an SRO comes by periodically to see that they are living there. I really don't know what else you could ask a school to do. Maybe, just maybe there are some good players that want to be a part of the GB program and it doesn't hurt that they have a brand new school and good academics and a beautiful area to live in the foothills of the mountains with the prettiest lake in Tennessee in their backyard. Easy decision for some families. BTW, I do not have a kid at GB......My last one is not in HS yet, and I have checked with the admin at GB on getting him in school there and was told the same thing the kids above were told and unfortunately I have a job that requires me to live in the same county as I work.

#52 & #53 for GB need to have their best games of the year Friday night on both sides of the ball. GB don't have to rush for huge numbers to win the game, but they must be able to be efficient in the run game to keep SP honest. I just hope the weather will be decent.

There have been many games that have had more than one thread.....there is one now on the 6A boards that has two threads but they haven't been combined. Whatever, Coach must be one of the few that still likes you.

What a bunch of crap that Coach combines these threads to appease poor ole Roy!! The bulk of the people had shown which thread they chose to post their comments, by an overwhelming margin. SMH as to why anyone on this site would try to appease someone that in three months went from "Coach T Hall of Fame" to the poster that most hate to see show up to the thread. I'm glad Stars finally got the official thread started. Congrats to Coach Hunt and the Rebels on making it to the Semi-Finals once again. Oakland has another great team, but the Rebels are rolling right now and The Black Hole is known for swallowing the hopes and dreams of great opposing teams. Rebel offense is clicking on all cylinders, and their defense seems to have about three to four defenders arrive at the ball in a bad mood on every play. Rebels get the win and move on the Ship!!! Big shout out to Cade Chambers....So proud of that him and the year he has had. Not only a great player but a great kid as well that always does things the right way!!

Respect to two great programs and congrats to both on good seasons and making it this far in the playoffs. Both teams will come out and lay it on the line the same way they have in their other semi-final meetings. I was at both of the other meetings and plan on being at this one as well, as I think this one has the potential to be a classic. Can GB slow down the run game of SP??? Can SP slow down the pass game of GB??? How will the weather be a factor??? Who can steal and extra possession or two with a turnover??? Go Kees!!!

I will let O&B respond to this as he knows Coach Ryan pretty well......but, my guess is that Ryan would probably get out of the coaching profession before he would coach at WB.

Not Trolling....I have always visited the 1A threads every time I am on Coach T because I love the smaller community schools, there is so much more passion for these teams. For many years I have respected SP and their program, it was on my bucket list to attend a SP / Marion game and a few years back I drove two hours to see that game and even though I didn't know a soul it was one of the best HS environments I have ever witnessed. I have been coming to the 1A boards long enough to know that SP has been accused of doing very similar things that you and Roy have spent two months accusing GB of doing. At the end of the day, if you have a great program there are going to be outside kids and families that want to be a part of it, and if those families are willing to make the move within the rules of TSSAA, I don't know of any school that is going to turn them down. I am sure SP has benefitted from transfers on more than one occasion because a kid and his family wanted to be a part of a great program, so why do you see the need to do all the bashing that you have done because kids want to be a part of GB. I will bow out of the conversation and let you go back to doing what you feel like you need to do. Good day....

I don't know if this is a done deal or not....I just knew that it had been in the works and I was asking if it was a done deal now. I think it would be great to have a smaller school on both ends of the county.

Great move....I knew it was in the works, so I assume that it is definitely going to happen. This will definitely help Heritage. I wouldn't be surprised if something similar happens in the southern part of the county.

I went and watched BC at Murvil Friday night....maybe they get intimidated when they play Murvil as that happens to a lot of teams, but I was not very impressed with BC.

Congrats to Maryville on a dominating win.....IMO, the Defense and the O-line both deserve a game ball, those two units have improved so much since the Catholic scrimmage. Very tough, gritty performances from #9 and #24.
