  1. Who won the Hendersonville-Wilson Central game last night?
  2. It is Boomer's next younger brother. There are four boys in all.
  3. The one who blinked was Tom Moore. He never saw Carlton the hatchet-man coming. New coach/same result. I don't see Flatt firing himself for losing the championship game.
  4. There is no doubt Doc is a fine teacher of the game. And outside of the gym he is a great guy, but when the game begins he turns into a self-centered, self-rightous, circus act that does the type of things I mentioned previously. At least he didn't get the referee supervisor out of the stands to sing the national anthem last night. Oh yeah, that has already been done. There is a reason that many of his fellow faculty members wish he would go for the TSU job. He would never do it though. You can only have two assistants in D.1. His other 6-8 assistants would have to pay to get in.
  5. Yeah, good old Doc. Calling time-out with a 22 point lead and 43 seconds left in the game just so he could adjust the full court press he was still using. Good old Doc. What a joke.
  6. He is definitely a 1 or 2. He is a scorer. Inside or out. Quick, good defender. Apparently he has gotten some interest from Oak Hill. I guess Mercer, Slay and Reynolds have opened the door up there.
  7. Jeremiah Crutcher at Hunters Lane (for now) is the real deal.
  8. Whatever. One undisciplined, overrated team beating another one is no big deal. McGavock is 6-5. If you feel like that is an upset then you don't think very highly of your own team. Seems like the only people who do think highly of Antioch are the AHS players.
  9. Lavergne big over Mt. Juliet, Hendersonville big over Smyrna, and Wilson Central big over White House.
  10. When do applications begin? [Edited by bigchief on 1-7-03 6:52A]
  11. gwmike, master, whitehope, or whatever name you register today to get your shots in, the problem starts with you and several other guys on your team with the same outlook. I saw all three of your games at the Overton Tournament and you were pathetic. You barely beat a University School team that is not exactly full of talent. Warren County and East Literature blew you out. Coach Mangrum was not there so I guess it was all Coach Sewell's fault that time huh? Just like McGavock and Glencliff, talent does not make a team. When you finally get over yourself and realize that you MIGHT have a chance to win a decent game. By the way, your little question about who should be the point guard gave it all away.
  12. District 12AAA with Maplewood, Stratford, Whites Creek, McGavock, Hunters Lane, Glencliff, Pearl-Cohn, and Antioch. All 8 teams have been to the state Tournament. Other than McGavock, they have all been in the last 10 or so years as well. There is never a night off. Sorry 9AAA, but you can't touch that. Gallatin and Hendersonville are the only teams in the last 10 years to make it. Beech went in '91. I know that Lavergne, Mt. Juliet, and Wilson Central (I know they are only a year old.) have NEVER been to the state. Mt. Juliet has never even won their district tournament in boys. EVER. Didn't the school open in the 1920's? White House went back in AA ball. I couldn't tell you if or when Smyrna ever went to state. The previous post on the Memphis district is the only close comparison.
  13. I don't know about that Nate. Several of those guys would have never made it through a season with Ramsey because he required discipline. Burnette tried to be their friend instead of their coach and it didn't work. Presley runs a MUCH more structured, disciplined program than Chris. I just don't think a couple of those guys (I won't name them since it doesn't matter) would have been able to handle it. What do you think would have happened if they would have talked back to Presley the way they did Burnette?
  14. Ezell Harding does not have any of its players back from last year. It will definitely be a rebuilding year. As far as never having heard of Radnor, Nobody had ever heard of College Heights until you got on here spouting off. You lost to Pickett and Celina. You play a bunch of little schools. Join the TSSAA and play a half- way decent schedule. Of course with the recruiting you do, you will have to go D.2
  15. Just to let you know DK, no TSSAA school can play College Heights during the regular season because they are not affiliated. Since Yarbrough went to East Lit last year and his brother played football for Hunters Lane, it is safe to say recruiting MIGHT be involved. All they have to do is petition the TSSAA just like your former school did after playing in the weak christian school league. They could always play D2.
  16. Gomab, I saw Kenyonna Swader play SEVERAL times last year and if he is a top five in the state, then we have pitiful talent in Tennessee. To say he is unmotivated would be the understatement of the year. He is too weak to play inside against people his own size and doesn't handle the ball very well to go to the perimeter. His shot outside of 15ft. is terrible. Maybe he puts out for you in AAU, but at Smyrna High he was not even one of the top five players in district 9AAA. Potential is the only description for him.
  17. No Chakra, your credibility was done when you started a baseless rumor. Of course, then you went to the now famous Ezell line about someone not wanting to play against you. You have had two good years. Congratulations. You actually have a fine team. However, the Ezell name does not strike the fear that you think it does. The end is near and I don't want to hear you when the tables turn.
  18. To me it is classless to get on here and make a stink about something you didn't even witness. Talk about hearsay. I guess everyone is out to get Ezell, right? The only thing people hope about Ezell is that you make Burnette the new head football coach so you will lose the championship game.
